As cases of COVID-19 surge among members of FC Dallas, the MLS announced that it has postponed the team’s match against the Vancouver Whitecaps scheduled for Wednesday.Six players from FC Dallas in the last week have tested positive for COVID-19.The MLS is resuming play this week in Orlando, Florida as part of a tournament after the league shutdown in mid-March, less than two weeks into the 2020 season.. The entire league is staying in Orlando, and will play all matches at the Wide World of Sports complex.Four of the positive tests have cone since the team has arrived in Orlando, prompting concerns that the virus could spread within the protective bubble the league has established.All FC Dallas players are quarantining themselves in their hotel rooms.The match has now been pushed back to July 15.“In consultation with MLS medical officials, FC Dallas took proactive steps to isolate the newly-affected players as well as all FC Dallas players and staff in Orlando out of an abundance of caution. An officer-involved shooting resulted in a fatality at a Baton Rouge apartment complex Monday evening, according to a Louisiana State Police spokesman.The Baton Rouge police officer was escorting an employee from the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to the Palms apartment complex when a struggle ensued, culminating in the fatal shooting, spokesman Bryan Lee told reporters at a news conference.Lee did not specify whether the victim was involved in the DCFS visit to the apartment complex. A large crowd gathered near the shooting scene, according to CNN affiliate WBRZ.The Louisiana State Police Crime Lab and East Baton Rouge District Attorney's Office are currently at the apartment complex investigating the incident, according to Lee.The identities of the shooting victim and officer are not being released at this time, but Lee told reporters the officer sustained a minor injury and was wearing a body camera at the time of the shooting.Shooting victim 'not handcuffed'East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar C. AN DIEGO (CNS) - A 25-year-old man staying at a hotel in the Core-Columbia area was robbed at gunpoint by two men, who forced their way into his room this morning.The man was staying at the Comfort Inn Hotel at 664 G St. when two men wearing black shirts forced their way into his room at 2:20 a.m, according to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.The victim was tied up and the suspects ransacked his room, then left, Heims said.A description of the suspects was not available.
