Cooperation between the National People's Congress (NPC) of China and the Russian Federal Assembly has achieved fruitful results through regular exchanges over the past years, Zhang, chairman of the NPC's Standing Committee, said in an address to the first session of the cooperation committee of the two countries' legislative bodies.

Philemon said the Cameroonian side wants to learn from China's experience in development, welcomes Chinese investment and hopes for continued mutual support, reciprocal cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.

Zhang said the two sides should actively promote large projects, including the construction of the Moscow-Kazan high-speed railway and the joint development of long-range and wide-body airplanes, and he hoped more such projects would advance investment and cooperation.

Noting that Kazakhstan is a prioritized partner in Belt construction and an important member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Zhang said China is ready to work with Kazakhstan to dovetail the Belt with the "Path of Light" and the development of the EAEU.

Pittella called for regular inter-party exchanges to promote Europe-China comprehensive and strategic partnership.
