Average rates on long-term mortgages continue to fall to new record lows, as the key 30-year loan dropped below 3% for the first time in 50 years. ATLANTA (AP) — Six Atlanta police officers have been charged after a dramatic video showed authorities pulling two young people from a car during protests over the death of George Floyd. Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced the charges during a news conference Tuesday. The Saturday night incident first gained attention from video online and on local news. Four of the officers are charged with aggravated assault, while one faces a charge of aggravated battery.Two of the officers were fired Sunday. As part of the response to one of the deadliest school shootings in US history, Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel told reporters on Wednesday that deputies that patrol high schools in the county will be equipped with rifles. The announcement came on the same day that President Donald Trump called for an end for schools being considered "gun-free."
