(CNS) - A motocross rider had to be airlifted for medical treatment Sunday after hitting a bystander at Barona Oaks MX, an off-roading facility in Lakeside.The Barona Fire Department responded to a call shortly after noon for two injured men at the 80-acre facility, where riders bring their own ATVs and dirt bikes.The rider, who is in his 40s, lost control of his dirt bike during training runs around the track and struck the bystander, who is in his 60s, according to Barona Fire Capt. Jim Huson. Friends of the bystander who was hit say he's well known, and often at the track to train riders.The rider was airlifted from the scene, Huson said, while the bystander was transported in an ambulance.No additional information was immediately available. 779

LANSING, Mich. – A Michigan judge has dismissed a lawsuit by President Donald Trump's campaign in a dispute over whether Republican challengers had access to the handling of absentee ballots.Judge Cynthia Stephens noted that the lawsuit was filed late Wednesday afternoon, just hours before the last ballots were counted. She also said the defendant, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, was the wrong person to sue because she doesn’t control the logistics of local ballot counting, even if she is the state’s chief election officer.The Associated Press called the Michigan presidential election for Democrat Joe Biden on Wednesday evening. Trump won the state in 2016.The lawsuit claimed Benson, a Democrat, was allowing absentee ballots to be counted without teams of bipartisan observers as well as challengers. She was accused of undermining the “constitutional right of all Michigan voters ... to participate in fair and lawful elections.”Benson, through state attorneys, denied the allegations. Non-stop wrestling," Trista said, "I’ve gotten first at like all of them. And just been like undefeated in like all of them. I think I’ve only lost a couple times at them." The Lancaster 8th grader has been traveling around the country competing in tournaments against both girls and boys.11-year-old Max McCarthy has witnessed Trista's success for five years. They have wrestled together at the Bison Wrestling Club for years. The two frequently win tournaments together, where he watches how competition views her."Sometimes they think, ‘Oh, she’s just a girl, who cares.' But some boys are like 'Oh, this is Trista. She’s good.' I wrestle her. I don’t treat her different," Max said.Just a year ago, Trista was treated different. The Lancaster District Medical Director didn't clear her to wrestle on the high school's JV boys' team, writing "girls don't play boys sports in Lancaster Schools."Shortly after 7 Eyewitness New's story aired, the school board cut ties with the former Lancaster District Medical Director Dr. Michael Terranova. A new review panel was then formed, clearing Trista to wrestle on the JV boys' team.A few months later, Trista was moved up to wrestle on the boys' varsity team. She also met her role model, WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, or Beth Copland. Copland attended college in Buffalo. This year, Trista's mom Danielle Blasz said it's a much easier process to have Trista evaluated to play on the high school boys team."They said she doesn’t have to take her APP test because her score was amazing last year. I also emailed them saying does she have to see the school doctor for approval. He said no. She just has to see her primary doctor," Blasz said.Next year, Trista will compete on the New York National Team."They travel all over the world. (KGTV) -- A student shown in a video being thrown to the ground by a school resource officer at Helix High School during a disciplinary matter spoke out for the first time Tuesday.A video recorded by students show 17-year-old Brianna Bell being thrown to the ground while in handcuffs at the school.The incident was sparked after the officer was called to assist with the suspended student reportedly refusing to leave campus.VIDEO: Officer tackles handcuffed 17-year-old student to ground at Helix HS"The student became non-compliant on two separate occasions and made an attempt to free herself by pulling away from the officer," La Mesa Police Department officials wrote in a statement.
