Usually, Friday the 13th has a bad connotation around it. But for the tattoo industry, it's an exciting day — it's known as the unofficial National Tattoo Day. Certified Tattoo Studios in Denver has been hosting a Friday the 13th event for over 10 years. A line of people were waiting outside their doors ahead of the shop opening. Ruth came with her daughter Alana to get her first tattoo. Ruth said she never wanted one until her daughter talked her into getting matching ones. "I'm planning on getting one and done," Ruth said. "It's just a great way for us to give back to our community and offer a cheaper rate for a tattoo that might normally cost a lot more," Certified Tattoos Studios owner Nando Mondragon said. Tattoos can be expensive. But Certified Tattoos Studios is doing them for less than . The studio gives customers the sheets of small "flash" tattoos to choose from. Ruth and her daughter chose matching heart tattoos to place on their wrist. Because the tattoos are so small, they take less than 10 minutes. Ruth can now say she has a tattoo. "I love it. It's perfect," she said. It's good she likes it, because it's permanent. 1163

(WPLG/CNN) - A Broward County, Florida, man's Ring surveillance camera captured someone relieving himself on his driveway during the day."I know when it comes for you to go, you have to go," said victim Wilton Thomas.Thomas is trying to understand the situation but is frustrated after seeing the surveillance video of some dude dropping a deuce on his driveway."He could have drove himself right toward the left in the fence, toward the coconut tree and do what he wants to do there. That would be no problem, but in my driveway?" Thomas asks.Thomas says it was around 4 p.m. Saturday while he was at work that a green car pulled up."(The driver) just opened his door and pulled his shirt all of the way over and then stooped down and that was it," said Thomas. Then, just as quickly as he arrived, the party pooper drives off, leaving his shirt and his stool behind.Thomas says when he got home it was too late to take care of it right away, so he waited until Sunday morning to take on the turd."I went in the hot sun, scraped it up, put it into a bag, and I poured bleach and then I hosed and washed the whole thing off," said Thomas. Now, he says he's ready to put this smelly situation behind him. He just wants an apology from the person responsible."Knock and say, ‘Man, you know what I had an emergency, I had nowhere to go, and this is where I had to do what I had to do,’" said Thomas. 1406
A close associate of President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, has provided a trove of text messages and photos to the House committee leading the impeachment inquiry. Joseph Bondy, the lawyer for Lev Parnas, tweeted Monday that they had “worked through the night” to provide data from two of his client's smartphones to the House Intelligence Committee. The Democrat-led committee subpoenaed Parnas for documents on Oct. 10, the day after news broke that he and business partner Igor Fruman had been arrested by federal authorities while trying to board a one-way flight to Europe. To read the documents, click 638
The challenge #TrashTag is a viral trend taking over social media. People all over are cleaning up the environment and sharing it online. Although a new trend online, it’s something nature lover Caitlin Deporter has already been doing for nearly a decade. The beauty of the outdoors is something Deporter has always cherished. "It's just grown from a young age, an appreciation for everything natural," Deporter says. She spends a lot of her time hiking near the Potomac River in Maryland. "My dad and I usually do our big hiking trips together," she says. Along those hikes, Deporter says she sees a lot of garbage. "There are a lot of beer cans and bottles, I will tell you that," she says. Americans produce more than 250 million tons of waste annually, according to the EPA. Keep America Beautiful reports .5 billion is spent yearly cleaning it all up. However, Deporter is doing one simple thing to curb those statistics. “I'll bring a normal size trash bag and a backpack and get prepared for a day of work,” she says. For the last eight years, on her bi-weekly hikes, she brings a trash bag with her every time, picking up all the litter she sees along the way. "I'm concentrating on getting trash where it's supposed to be," she says. She does something small to help combat a big problem. "I'm just one person; I can only do so much," she says. She’s hoping the #TrashTag movement keeps up, for the sake of the environment."I hope this whole trend really sticks, and it's not just you know people do it for a week to get all their photos in and look all cool, you know,” Deporter says. “I really hope people continue to do it." 1658
