FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron on Thursday joined a coalition of 22 state attorneys general in sending a letter to the United States Senate, urging the body to immediately hold a hearing and vote to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.In the letter, Cameron wrote that Barrett's "unwavering commitment to a judicial philosophy that prioritizes restraint, humility, and respect for the rule of law" should lead to a quick approval from the Senate.Cameron released the following statement in support of Barrett."I'm proud to join this coalition of attorneys general in support of Judge Barrett, and I'm confident that Senate Majority Leader McConnell will make sure she is confirmed. While suppliers have kept up with demand, there are random shortages for things like glass mason jars."People are cooking, people are eating at home and they’re cooking. A lot of people learned to cook from last March forward, and they’re doing more of it," Violette added.This time around, Violette and other grocers are urging Americans to avoid panic buying as some states reimpose COVID-19 restrictions."There’s no need to stock up. There’ll be plenty of product; the food supply is strong and by people stocking up, it makes it harder for people to get products and people have to make more frequent stops to go to the store,” Violette said.There’s something else this grocery distributor has realized in recent months: even with near-record numbers of Americans unemployed, they’re having trouble filling jobs.Warehouses and factories across the country have noticed similar trends. For pets, the skies of United Airlines lately have not been so friendly.It's not just the French bulldog that died on a Houston-to-New York flight Monday after a United flight attendant told its owners to put the dog in an overhead bin.Data from the US Department of Transportation show that three times as many animals died on United flights last year than on all the other US carriers put together.
