MOSCOW, June 5 (Xinhua) -- China and Russia vowed to strengthen contemporary global strategic stability in a joint statement signed by visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
Congratulating the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China this year, Hasina said China has scored remarkable achievements under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
"We hope the situation can be improved as soon as possible," he said. "Personnel exchanges are the basis for promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and the United States in various areas. People-to-people exchanges and cooperation serve the common interests of both sides and the common aspirations of both peoples."
The two sides should seize the opportunity of the 70th anniversary of establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, maintaining, consolidating and developing the China-Hungary comprehensive strategic partnership, as well as deepening exchanges at all levels, said Wang.
Jeenbekov stressed that Kyrgyzstan firmly supports the measures taken by the Chinese government in safeguarding peace and stability in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and cracking down on extremism. He also thanked China for its strong support and assistance to Kyrgyzstan.
