Four people in attendance at Republican National Convention events in Charlotte this week have tested positive for COVID-19, according to officials in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.In its daily release of COVID-19 data, the county said that two attendees and two people support staff members tested positive for the virus. The four people were "immediately issued isolation instructions," and those who had contact with those infected were also told to isolate.About 800 people in town for the RNC were tested for COVID-19, the country reported.While most of the convention was held virtually this year, Charlotte did host a few RNC events in the city this week. FedEx said Monday they are planning to hire 70,000 seasonal workers as they head into the holidays.In a hiring statement on its website, the shipping company said most of those hired for its "peak season" would be added to its FedEx Ground network."As our team of more than 500,000 team members is busy preparing to deliver the holidays, we once again expect to see a large number of packages traverse our global network over the 2020 peak holiday shipping season," FedEx said. "In order to provide the best possible service during this busy time of the year, FedEx is increasing hours for some existing employees and boosting our workforce with seasonal positions, as needed." Following President Donald Trump's rally in West Virginia on Tuesday evening, Aerosmith's frontman Steven Tyler was not pleased that the president used an Aerosmith song before the rally. On Wednesday, a rep for Tyler sent Trump a cease and desist letter to stop using Tyler's music during rallies, according to a copy of the letter obtained by CNN reporter Jim Acosta. The letter was filed by the LaPolt Law firm in West Hollywood, Calif. “By using ‘Livin’ On The Edge’ without our client’s permission, Mr. Trump is falsely implying that our client, once again, endorses his campaign and/or his presidency, as evidenced by actual confusion seen from the reactions of our client’s fans all over social media,” the letter stated.The letter indicates that Aerosmith has previously sent Trump orders to stop using the band's music. On Tuesday, "Livin' On The Edge" was played before the president appeared on stage. “What makes this violation even more egregious is that Mr. Trump’s use of our client’s music was previously shut down, not once, but two times, during his campaign for presidency,” the letter states.Tyler is not the only artist who has sent Trump a letter ordering him to stop playing their music at rallies. Former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg arrived at District Court in Washington, DC, Friday morning, where he is expected to deliver federal grand jury testimony as part of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.Nunberg is the first recognizable Trump campaign affiliate to appear at a hearing related to Mueller's investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election by walking through the main entrance of the federal courthouse and heading to the grand jury area.
