Video obtained by Fox News shows Speaker Nancy Pelosi inside of a San Francisco salon getting her hair styled amid a citywide restriction on salons from being open during the coronavirus pandemic. This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business. VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A Vista judge has dropped two charges against Gerardo Martinez Sr., a father arrested last week by San Diego County Sheriff's deputies. Martinez Sr. was facing two charges, felony resisting arrest, and lynching of an officer. The video surfaced last week. Martinez Sr. and his son, Gerardo Martinez Jr., arrested by five deputies. The family says the deputies used excessive force and that the two men were compliant and already in handcuffs. On Monday, the family demanded the department release body cam video and conduct an independent investigation. They also want to see the deputies involved prosecuted. The sheriff's department says they were called for a domestic dispute and that Martinez Jr. was armed with a knife. Deputies were also called to the home in late April for another incident involving Martinez Jr. The family's legal team did not address any questions about what lead up to the video but said Martinez Jr. has an issue with mental illness. They plan on filing civil lawsuits at the end of the week. The deputies in the video are on administrative duty as the investigation continues.   1186

VISTA, Calif. (KGTV)- New details are emerging about a weekend murder investigation at a house in Vista. Neighbors tell 10News that a husband was arrested for shooting his wife and the two had a troubled history. A suspect in this case was arrested Saturday night by members of the San Diego Sheriff's Homicide Unit. Deputies report that he has been identified as fifty-seven-year-old Andrew Thomas Smith of Vista and he has been booked for murder at the Vista Detention Facility. He is being held without bail. The victim's family has been notified of her death. Deputies report that she has been positively identified as Jean Moore Smith, a fifty-nine-year-old resident of Vista and she was Andrew’s wife. WASHINGTON — Attorney General William Barr has told the Associated Press that the Justice Department has not uncovered widespread voter fraud that could have changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.Barr told the Associated Press that federal agents have followed up on numerous complaints and tips they've received, but have found no evidence of widespread voter fraud.“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election,” Barr told the AP.Barr's comments come as President Donald Trump continues to seek legal action to overturn election results in states won by president-elect Joe Biden.
