Officials are investigating a deadly plane crash near 7th Street and Deer Valley Road on Monday morning. The FAA says the aircraft involved is a single-engine, home-built Acroduster. It reportedly crashed in the intersection around 6:50 a.m. under unknown circumstances. One person was killed and another was injured, according to Phoenix aviation officials. Phoenix Fire says they took the surviving victim, a man, to the hospital in critical condition. Video from the scene showed emergency crews working around debris in the roadway near several damaged cars. With full hair, makeup and dresses, the two started reading to children about six months ago at libraries.The stories read have themes about love, compassion and inclusion.The program is called Drag Queen Story Hour.Jonathan Hamilt brought the program to New York from San Francisco, and it has spread across the country.“It's one of the most attended story hours of our libraries,” says Hamilt. “Every time we go to a branch, librarians are like, ‘Wow! This has exceeded the number of any other program that we've had.’”As you might expect, Hamilt says the children come with questions, asking about their hair and real name.Some questions are more challenging than others.“Are you a boy or are you a girl? On Tuesday, Casey Louviere was mowing her yard in Louisiana when she suddenly passed out from heat exhaustion."I started seeing stars, and suddenly everything was black," Louviere said.She says she thought she was fine, as she had been drinking water at the time."Just simply went outside to cut grass, it was so hot. You know, I was fine, then everything just turned black. The heat is not something to play with," Louviere explained.Officials with the Scott Fire Department say they responded to the call on Rue Bon Secours of a person unconscious in their front yard."SFD began assessing the patient and administering basic life support interventions. Acadian Ambulance medics arrived, and the patient was transported to a local hospital," a release states. But the firefighters didn't just help Louviere medically.The firefighters stayed with her children until a friend was able to come over. They also came back to finish mowing her lawn."Something like that brings tears to your eyes, knowing that there are still good people out there like that," she said. "They took time out of their day to cut my grass and they didn't have to do that.""We didn't have to do it. We didn't do it to get recognition by any means, but we wanted to bless her and bless her family. Her grass was high and we wanted to help her," Fire Captain Kris Gumpert said.However, Louviere says she did not know the job was finished until she saw it on Facebook."I'm working from home currently, so I didn't walk outside this morning.
