Some of the items in the budget include million for new trolley cars on the Blue Line, .8 million to purchase two new coaster trains for the North County Transit District, and million for preliminary designs on a central mobility hub. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Unified School District officials confirmed to 10News Thursday that a teacher has been placed on leave while investigators look into accusations that he exposed a sixth-grade class to pornography.Officials said they were first notified Monday after a parent reported the alleged incident happened during a physical education class at Horace Mann Middle School, located at 4345 54th Street in San Diego."San Diego Unified is investigating the incident that allegedly occurred at Mann Middle School. The employee has been placed on leave pending the investigation,” district officials said.The district said it has spoken with at least 10 students regarding the report. There were at least 24 students in the class.District officials and district police are investigating."It's reprehensible," Craig Tinson, whose 12-year-old grandson attends the school, said. "Becuase the students are very impressionable. They're looking for adults to be the leader and unfortunately, it was compromised on this occasion."A parent of one of the students told 10News that her son was in the class when the teacher allegedly showed the students an adult video of a man and woman engaged in sexual activities. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Six robbery suspects were arrested after reportedly assaulting a 14-year-old over a cell phone and leading police on a pursuit late Friday.A 14-year-old boy was walking in the 4400 block of Newport Avenue in Point Loma Heights when a Toyota Rav4 pulled alongside him just before 9:30 p.m., according to San Diego Police.Three suspects, one of whom was armed, got out and demanded the victim's cell phone at gunpoint, police said, before the armed suspect hit the boy over the head with the gun. The suspects then fled the area with the boy's cell phone.Police located the Toyota and tried to pull the vehicle over, prompting the suspects to lead police on a pursuit into the Lincoln Park area. Four juvenile and two adult suspects jumped out of the vehicle at Willie James Jones Ave. and tried to run but were all taken into custody after short foot pursuits, police said. 899

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- SeaWorld Wednesday released an endangered turtle rescued off the Oregon coast back into the ocean.The olive ridley sea turtle named Coral was rescued after being found stranded on an Oregon beach.SeaWorld says the 18 to 25-year-old turtle was taken to a Seattle aquarium for rehabilitation before being flown to San Diego for more treatment.Once the ocean temperature off the coast became stable around 70 degrees, Coral was released back into her ocean home about 10 miles off the San Diego coast.Experts installed a tracking device on the turtle’s shell in hopes of tracking Coral’s location as well as ocean temperature.According to SeaWorld, olive ridley turtles are found throughout the Pacific ocean, though they rarely stray any further north than Southern California. 803
