A Nevada judge has denied a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign to toss out the results of the state's presidential vote.The lawsuit was denied with prejudice, meaning that it cannot be brought back before the court. A potential tropical storm has its eyes on Puerto Rico this week, prompting the National Hurricane Center to issue a tropical storm warning for the island territory.The unnamed storm has not officially been deemed a tropical storm, but is topping low-end tropical storm winds of 40 MPH. A number of other Caribbean islands, including the US Virgin Islands, are under tropical storm warnings.Because the storm lacks a well-defined center, it is not considered a tropical storm officially. But the National Hurricane Center expects the disturbance it has named “Potential Tropical Cyclone No. 9” to better organize in the next day.After it passes the Caribbean islands, it will begin approaching the East Coast of the US. A mother whose toddler died weeks after they were released from a Texas immigrant detention center has filed a wrongful death claim seeking million from the US government.Yazmin Juarez's 19-month-old daughter, Mariee, died in May, six weeks after they were released from the immigration facility in Dilley.Juarez and her attorney allege that ICE and those running the facility provided substandard medical care for the toddler after she suffered a respiratory infection while in detention."The US government had a duty to provide this little girl with safe, sanitary living conditions and proper medical care but they failed to do that resulting in tragic consequences," attorney R. Stanton Jones said in a statement."Mariee entered Dilley a healthy baby girl and 20 days later was discharged a gravely ill child with a life-threatening respiratory infection. A man was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct for allegedly spitting on a boy and telling him he “now has coronavirus.”Jason Copenhaver, 47, walked up to the boy on Sunday at a restaurant in Treasure Island, Florida. He asked the boy if he was wearing a face mask, according to the police report. The boy said yes, and Copenhaver told him to take it off and asked to shake his hand.The boy refused, according to police, then Copenhaver grabbed the boy’s hand and said “you now have coronavirus” while standing close enough to the boy for spit to land on his face.The police report also notes that Copenhaver was believed to be under the influence of alcohol, and tried to hit an employee at the restaurant who asked him to sit down.
