BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Railways said Friday it has put more trains on to ease transportation pressure during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 22-24.
The typhoon-triggered flooding has left traffic services on 236 highways and three major railways suspended as of Sunday morning, according to the Liaoning Provincial Meteorological Bureau.
All counties in central and western regions, as well as those counties in eastern and coastal provinces of Liaoning, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shandong and Guangdong will be covered by the scheme, according to the statement.
