One company took its recycling efforts a little too far and upped the "gross factor" to levels never seen before.Police in Vietnam seized a reported 345,000 used condoms... yes, used... from a warehouse where they were being cleaned and resold as new.Video from a local broadcaster showed large bags of used condoms strewn across the warehouse, the BBC reports.The used condoms were taken to the warehouse where they were washed and reshaped before being repackaged. The alleged owner of the warehouse was arrested by authorities. It is not know how many or the refurbished condoms were used by unsuspecting men. 620

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Police have identified the man accused of firing a gun at an Oklahoma City restaurant on Thursday evenign. Police say Alexander Tilghman, 28-years-old of Oklahoma City, opened fire Thursday at 6:30 p.m. local time at Louie's restaurant on Lake Hefner. In an update sent around 9:30 a.m. police say officers found Tilghman dead outside the restaurant. Police say he was shot by two citizens.Witnesses say the men were yelling at the suspect to put his gun down, but he had large headphones on and was pacing near the restaurant. Witnesses say the suspect raised his gun at the men, and that's when the armed citizen shot Tilghman.Police say three people were shot: A 39-year-old woman and two female juveniles. All three are reportedly in good condition.A fourth person was injured, according to police, after falling and breaking his arm after the shooter started firing his gun.Oklahoma City police are holding a press conference at 11:30 a.m. local time.  1024

(KGTV) - Students at El Camino High School have a chance to put their stamp on pop culture.They're designing shoes for the Vans Custom Culture competition.El Camino High School is one of just 500 schools in the country to be picked for the contest. More than 200 students submitted designs at the school, but only two will advance to the national competition.Sophomore Isiah Duran is one of the students whose design was chosen."I basically did what I thought was Oceanside," he says. "The pier, sunsets, the beach."The students could make designs based on two categories, "Local Flavor" and "Off the Wall.""It resonates with the younger culture," says El Camino Art Teacher Diego De La Luz. "It resonates with activities that range from biking to skateboarding and really just the Southern California vibe which Oceanside is all about."The winner will receive ,000 for their school's art department. Vans will also endow a scholarship for a student from the winning school to attend the Laguna Art Institute.De La Luz says the students will decide how to spend the money at the school if they win. He adds that ,000 would provide a big boost to the art department, especially as districts tighten their budgets and art programs are often among the first to be cut."Having that opportunity for the cash prize would cushion some of our artistic ambitions for the students," says De La Luz.Students say it's pretty amazing to try and design for a company they already love."I'm wearing Vans right now," says Junior Aymee Locke. "If I had my own design on a shoe and I get to show that off to everyone, I would totally do that. I think that's super cool."The schools have to turn in their designs by April 16. On the same day Dick's Sporting Goods announced it would no longer carry assault rifles, Walmart said on Wednesday that it is raising the minimum age to purchase a firearm from 18 to 21. The announcement comes two weeks after a 19-year-old confessed gunman took the lives of 17 people at a high school in Parkland, Florida. The massacre has since reignited a national debate on gun control. It has also caused a number of companies, most notably Delta Airlines and Enterprise Rental Cars, to end its support of the National Rifle Association. Walmart said it will begin enforcing the new rule as soon as possible. The company said the rule is one of many Walmart has implemented that goes beyond federal gun laws."We take seriously our obligation to be a responsible seller of firearms and go beyond Federal law by requiring customers to pass a background check before purchasing any firearm," Walmart said in a press release. "The law would allow the sale of a firearm if no response to a background check request has been received within three business days, but our policy prohibits the sale until an approval is given."Walmart added that in 2015, it stopped selling some assault rifles, including AR-15s.
