This search came amid claims he trafficked and sexually assaulted dozens of teenage girls and women.The FBI searched the designer’s Times Square offices less than two weeks after 10 women filed a lawsuit accusing Nygard of enticing young and impoverished women to his estate in the Bahamas with cash and promises of modeling opportunities.According to prosecutors, from 1995 to 2020, Nygard used his international fashion brand to recruit and pay for sex with the victims, who were put on the payroll as “models” or “assistants.”Prosecutors said Nygard allegedly referred to the victims as his “girlfriends,” which required them to travel and stay with him at his palatial properties in California, the Bahamas, and Canada.According to the press release, Nygard allegedly hosted so-called “Pamper Parties,” named for their buffet, open bar, and spa treatments, to recruit more girls and young women.According to prosecutors, he allegedly would use a “girlfriend” or employee to scout out a chosen victim — who would then be forced into sexual activity and paid in cash.Prosecutors said Nygard also is accused of hosting sexual “swaps” with other friends and business associates, who would bring a “date” to trade for sex with one of his “girlfriends.”Nygard kept the “girlfriends” under constant surveillance, insisting they needed his permission to leave the properties, prosecutors said.According to the AP, several of Nygard’s victims claim they were 14 or 15 years old when the fashion mogul gave them alcohol or drugs and then raped them. 2300

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The release of a sealed deposition of Ghislaine Maxwell, disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's longtime confident, was delayed until Monday, court records show.A federal judge ordered the release be held until Monday, providing Maxwell a brief window to appeal a previous order unsealing the record. The deposition was initially scheduled for release Thursday.Maxwell, 58, faces criminal charges in federal court of enticement and conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, transportation, and conspiracy to transport minors with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and two counts of perjury.Maxwell was arrested in early July and pleaded not guilty to those charges. A judge denied bail in the case and ordered Maxwell held in jail, pending her trial.The judge overseeing the civil case denied Maxwell's request to outright block the release of the sealed documents.The documents are part of a 2016 civil lawsuit filed by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre, and include emails and depositions by others, including Giuffre and an anonymous Epstein accuser. The two vaccines, one from Pfizer and the other Moderna, are expected to receive an FDA emergency use authorization in the coming weeks.Fauci said another vaccine, one produced by Johnson and Johnson, would only require one shot. But Fauci cautioned that the data from that vaccine candidate has not been reviewed. The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are showing an efficacy of 95%, and both vaccines had a near 100% effectiveness against severe coronavirus cases.While the first shot will offer some protection against the virus, Fauci says that the boost will give Americans “optimal” protection against the virus.“What you have is you get some degree, not optimal, but some degree of immunity a couple of weeks after the first dose,” Fauci said. “That's not optimal. After the second dose, you get optimal immunity anywhere from seven to 10 days after the second dose."As vaccine doses begin to make their way to health care workers and high risk patients, Fauci says it will be important for everyone, even those who are vaccinated, to still wear masks and conduct social distancing.
