BEIJING, June 6 (Xinhua) -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel will visit China from June 12 to 14 and co-chair a bilateral intergovernmental consultation with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said here on Monday.
Describing frictions in bilateral cooperation as normal, the premier said the two sides should focus on the big picture and mainstream.
China highly values the friendly cooperative relations with the DPRK, Xi stressed, adding that the nation is willing to work with the DPRK to properly maintain, consolidate and develop bilateral ties.
Xi also pledged in his speech that China will always follow a path of peaceful development and mutual benefit.
Ding suggested more cooperation between Asia and Europe in technology and environmental protection, as well as increased efforts in dealing with possible differences among Asian and European members.
