SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego County sheriff's deputies fished a man out of the ocean in Del Mar who they say rammed a Border Patrol truck at the end of a dangerous chase.According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department's North Coastal Station, it all started when deputies tried to pull the man over in a blue Smart car driving with no lights or a license plate.The driver failed to stop and took out a road sign then drove the wrong way down Coast Boulevard in Del Mar around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.A few minutes later, the man crashed into a Border Patrol truck at the dead-end of 15th Street. No one was inside the truck at the time.Border Patrol agents spotted the driver running towards the beach.The man jumped over the bluffs' edge and plunged naked into the water, where he spent two hours in the surf.He was taken into custody after he was fished out of the ocean by a Border Patrol boat around 4:15 a.m.Deputies are currently attempting to identify the suspect. 982

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a door-to-door solicitor who has prompted a string of complaints about threatening outbursts and who was seen on video taking swings at a woman in Pacific Beach.Corey Lamont Terry, 45, is wanted on felony charges of making criminal threats and attempted burglary, according to the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office. A warrant for his arrest was issued earlier this month, according to the Sheriff’s Department website.Police have been investigating Terry since at least early November, after “several” people complained about Terry’s aggressive language while soliciting money door-to-door, according to SDPD Lt. Shawn Takeuchi.Takeuchi urged the public to call their local police agency if they spot Terry, who is about 6 feet tall and weighs roughly 220 pounds. He said residents should not approach him based on his past behavior.Terry has canvassed neighborhoods in Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach in recent weeks, claiming he is raising money for charity. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego health officials are working with UCSD to notify people who may have been exposed to tuberculosis at the school’s La Jolla campus.According to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, the period of potential exposure was between January 25 through May 15. Those who are known to have been exposed were notified.“Testing is recommended for all those exposed to assure they are not infected, since they may not have symptoms,” said Wilma Wooten, M.D., M.P.H., County public health officer. "For anyone infected, early diagnosis and prompt treatment can prevent disease.”Tuberculosis is transmitted from person to person through indoor air during prolonged contact. Most people who are exposed do not become infected.Symptoms of TB include persistent cough, fever, night sweats and unexpected weight loss.No-cost testing will be provided those identified starting May 30 at the campus Student Health Center on Library Walk.The number of annual cases of TB has decreased since the early 90s and has stabilized in recent years. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – San Diego police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 17-year-old boy with several health problems.According to police, Jeremy Jose Sanchez was last seen by his mother at their apartment on Aug. 23 at around 9 p.m. Police did not disclose what part of the city the boy was last seen.The teen suffers from vision damage, loss of hearing, and has active tuberculosis. Police said he takes medications for his conditions, but he left his home without them.Police said Jeremy was reported as a runaway juvenile at risk due to health conditions.The teen is Latino with a tanned complexion, 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighs around 146 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.Jeremy was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, and white, red and black Jordan shoes.Anyone with information on the teen is urged to contact San Diego police at 619-531-2000 or 911. 902

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are searching for a man who reportedly tried to stop a woman from leaving a locker room at a clinical training facility.According to police, the man entered the women’s locker room at the UCSD Clinical Training Facility around 11:15 a.m. on August 20.Police say the man walked in as the victim was using the restroom. The woman tried to leave, but the suspect blocked her, asking “don’t you want this,” gesturing to his body, police say.The man then left the bathroom before walking back inside and blocking the victim’s exit once again.
