KENOSHA, Wis. – Jacob Blake, the man shot in the back by a police officer in Kenosha, is no longer shackled to his hospital bed.Friday morning, Blake’s father told CNN during an interview that his son remained shackled to his bed, even though he is currently paralyzed from the waist down as a result of the officer-involved shooting on Sunday.In the interview, Jacob Blake, Sr. said it "bothered" him that his son remained shackled in "cold steel" despite his condition."He can't get up. That makes no sense to me."Blake’s attorney, Patrick Cafferty, confirmed to WTMJ that the handcuffs confining the 29-year-old to his bed were removed around noon Friday and the officers that were posted in his hospital room have left.A spokesman for the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office explained to CNN on Friday that Blake was handcuffed to the bed because he had felony warrants for his arrest from crimes he allegedly committed prior to the shooting.Cafferty says the warrant has since been vacated, but domestic violence charges from July are still pending.The attorney also says a district attorney helped in the process of getting the cuffs removed and that 0 cash bond was posted in relation to the July charges.Blake has been hospitalized since Sunday afternoon when he was shot in the back at least seven times as Kenosha police officers attempted to take him into custody. The officer who fired his weapon, Rusten Sheskey, has been placed on administrative leave.While police have not announced formal charges against Blake or said why they attempted to arrest him, they've claimed that officers had been called to his girlfriend's house because he wasn't "supposed to be there." Police have also said that Blake admitted he was in possession of a knife, which was later found in his car.Throughout the country, it's standard procedure for police to shackle a suspect to a hospital bed if that person is under arrest.Blake's father also told CNN that his son was "hallucinating" when he went to visit."He grabbed my hand and began to weep and he told me that he was hallucinating. And then he said, 'I love you, dad. Daddy, I love you.,'" Blake said. "His next question was, 'Why'd they shoot me so many times?' I said, 'Baby, they weren't supposed to shoot you at all.'"He also told CNN that he spoke to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, earlier this week. (KGTV) - In Jamul, community members are banding together to help a family-owned farm decimated by the Valley Fire.Cheryl Skidmore, the owner of Hidden Haven Ranch, was on the phone with workers on site."Very, very smoky fire. Hit the ridge and then came down very fast," said Skidmore.Some animals were evacuated, but the damage was heavy at the 16-year-old farm known for sustainable farming.All 125 chickens were killed. Most of the crops were destroyed: half of the orchards, from apples to apricots, and all of the industrial hemp fields. The flames also burned a trailer and much of the farm equipment."Everything is just devastated. We have to start over," said Skidmore.Skidmore says she tried to get wildfire insurance but was denied, partly because she’s in a fire-prone area. The total loss was about 0,000. Shutting down the farm became very possible."It's overwhelming," said Skidmore.The word 'overwhelming' could also be used to describe the outpouring of support."The community has been donating hens. Hopefully, we will be doing egg production next month," said Skidmore.The farm asked for help and the community responded with dozens of volunteers at three cleanup efforts, including one on this day. Volunteers have done everything, from raking ash and trimming trees, to moving dirt and cleaning horse stalls. If I were in that situation, I would want people to help me," said Skidmore.Skidmore says that help will mean the difference between shutting down and keeping the farm going."No way I could have done this myself ... (KGTV) — City crews have started emergency repairs to an unstable cave located underneath a busy La Jolla street.Coast Blvd. was closed late Thursday after experts found weaknesses in Cook's Crack, a sea cave underneath Coast Blvd. near Cave St."We're starting to see above ... the looser, weaker material. That's a trigger right off the bat that, 'Oh my God, we don't have the beefy rock bridging across anymore. So that's what got out attention," said James Nagelvoort, city public works director.RELATED: La Jolla streets closed for emergency stabilization of Cook's Crack caveThe discovery came as crews prepared to repair Coast Blvd. Assessors discovered that if too much weight is above the cave or heavy seismic vibrations hit the area, the road could collapse, according to the city.A crew from Texas was called to lead the project, driving overnight to La Jolla Friday.Crews plan to first fill the cave's cracks with an eco-friendly polyurethane mix to strengthen the dirt. The next phase will be to clear out all of the water and fill the cave with a concrete mix.Construction is expected to last about six weeks, closing parts of Coast Blvd. and Cave St.Cook's Crack is located in the area between La Jolla Cove and the popular Cave Store. The strip of road leads down to seaside restaurants and parking for many tourists and residents.The project required the city to quickly close the road before locals realized what the issue was, though businesses and residents were allowed to pass through the area Friday."They said there's been some shift in the road itself," David Heine, owner of nearby Brockton Villa Restaurant, told 10News. The state attorney said they could not prove human trafficking without a reasonable doubt, but there was evidence of human trafficking "in the overall investigation."
