An Oregon health care network says it has placed a nurse on administrative leave after she shared a video on social media where she bragged about flouting basic public health measures that help prevent the spread of COVID-19.In a Facebook post on Saturday afternoon, Salem Health said it had placed the nurse on administrative leave pending an investigation after learning of the video.According to KPTV-TV in Salem, Oregon, the Washington Post and BuzzFeed News, the unidentified nurse originally shared the video on TikTok. The billboard is used by Battlefield Vegas, which advertises that it is the best indoor shooting range experience in Las Vegas. The sign was also changed to say "DEFEND LIVES REFORM LAWS."INDECLINE says they did it because of “America’s longstanding obsession with gun culture and out government’s inability to honor the victims of mass shootings by distancing themselves from the homicidal policies of the NRA.”INDECLINE says it is "calling on all political parties to immediately work towards a legislative resolution that aims to protect citizens and reform inadequate gun las that are currently placing value on assault weapons over that of human life.”This isn’t the first time that INDECLINE has vandalized a billboard or did something controversial in Las Vegas and other cities around the U.S.INDECLINE was also behind the naked Donald Trump statues in 2016 that popped up in many cities, including Las Vegas, New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles. In addition, the group vandalized a billboard that was promoting a fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor. They also hung mannequins in suits on billboards with the caption “Dying For Work.” The message on the billboard was covered up before 9 a.m. Thursday. ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A powerful 7.8 earthquake has struck the Alaska Peninsula, triggering a tsunami warning that sent residents fleeing to higher ground before it was called off without any damaging waves. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 7.8 magnitude quake struck Tuesday at 10:12 p.m. local time. The quake was centered in waters 65 miles (105 kilometers) south-southeast of Perryville, Alaska at a depth of 17 miles (28 km), deeper than an earlier estimate. The quake triggered tsunami warning for a South Alaska, the Alaska Peninsula and the Aleutian Islands that was called off early Wednesday about two hours after the quake. 652

Animal rescue workers say nearly 600 dogs were rescued from deplorable conditions in Tennessee. Now, dog rescue groups in the midwest are stepping in to help the animals get back to health. Battling multiple infections and numerous medical needs, the recently rescued Dachshunds and Shar Peis were taken from an alleged puppy mill in Madison County, Tennessee. A rescue group, Guardians of Rescue, posted on Facebook they were part of the 11-month-long investigation into the location. In Detroit, animal rights advocates, including Emily Seward from Dachshund Haus Rescue, have already stepped up to care for the animals."They were, and continue to be, in pretty rough shape," Seward said. For her, it's simply unimaginable how someone could neglect dogs so badly, and police say behind a 10-foot-tall privacy fence, the dogs had to face extreme abuse for a decade.Police say the dog owners who were selling them as part of a business had already been accused of abuse and neglect years ago.As investigators crack down on those behind the illegal operation, the dogs are now finally being given the attention they deserve after being rescued over the weekend.The rescued dogs are not available for adoption now, and are considered evidence in a criminal case. 1268
