(KGTV) -- Christian Unified Schools of San Diego welcomed junior and high school students back to campus on Tuesday.The El Cajon-based school district brought elementary school students back to school last week, and district officials said now it's time for the other grades to join.The school's website lists many of the precautions they're taking, including multiple temperature checks. Students will get their temperature checked before they are dropped off at school, and then again before entering the building.Everyone on campus must wear a mask or face shield, and students must wash or sanitize their hands before they enter each classroom.The district says social distancing will be observed in all classrooms. Plexiglass barriers will be at each desk.All the classrooms are equipped with cleaning stations to be used between each class.Teachers will hold school religious services outside, and chapel will have limited seating.The district says each night staff will clean the entire facility. 1028

Dr. Anthony Fauci has a stark warning for Americans, reiterating that if our response to the coronavirus does not change, there could be more hospitalizations and deaths.“If things do not change, if they continue on the course we’re on, there’s gonna be a whole lot of pain in this country with regard to additional cases and hospitalizations, and deaths,” Fauci said in an interview Wednesday evening on “The News with Shepard Smith.”Dr. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has repeatedly told lawmakers and other news outlets the country’s coronavirus case numbers are going in the “wrong direction.”Cases are rising in almost every state and territory, and coronavirus-positive patients are overwhelming hospitals in some parts of the country.The Midwest is especially hard hit right now, with Wisconsin reporting a 7-day positivity rate of 28 percent. Prosecutors say this amounted to illegal donations to Trump's campaign.Trump's attendance was first reported by the Wall Street Journal in a November article. The meeting returned to the spotlight Wednesday when federal prosecutors announced that they agreed not to prosecute AMI for campaign finance violations in exchange for its cooperation.The newspaper reported that Trump asked Pecker what he could do to help his presidential campaign.Federal prosecutors in Manhattan mentioned the meeting when they charged Cohen over the summer with two campaign finance violations. Those crimes related to hush-money payments to two women who alleged affairs with Trump. For his part, Trump has denied the affairs.Prosecutors also described the meeting in the AMI agreement, which became public Wednesday.That document said Cohen, Pecker, and "one or more members of the campaign" met in August 2015. At that meeting, "Pecker offered to help deal with negative stories about that presidential candidate's relationships with women by, among other things, assisting the campaign in identifying such stories so they could be purchased, and their publication avoided."AMI now admits that after that meeting, Pecker agreed to "keep Cohen appraised" of negative stories about Trump. EDINBURG, Texas - A bizarre incident during a high school playoff game in Texas on Thursday left a referee with injuries after being attacked by a player he had just ejected.Edinburg High School defensive end Emmanuel Duron was penalized for shoving another player to the ground and attempting to tackle the opposing team's quarterback after a play was over The Monitor reports.Referee Fred Garcia ejected Duron from the game for the two unsportsmanlike penalties.After Garcia announced the ejection, Duron charged back onto the field and slammed into the referee, causing him to fly back into the artificial turf.Duron's teammates and coaches held the player back while crews attended to Garcia. Four off-duty police officers escorted Duron out of the stadium and away from the premises.Garcia was able to walk off the field on his own and was evaluated in an ambulance outside the stadium. He was reported to have suffered a concussion and a shoulder injury.After the delay, the game resumed and Edinburg ended up defeating Pharr-San Juan-Alamo 35-21 to advance to the playoffs, The Associated Press reported. But on Friday, the team was removed from the playoffs by the school district, the district announced in a statement."The district has decided to remove the Edinburg High School football team from the playoffs after an unexpected incident involving a student that occurred during a football game on December 3, 2020," the district said. "We extend a sincere apology to the referee and his family. On behalf of the Edinburg CISD Board of Trustees and administration, we apologize to the athletes, staff, and our school community. We will take the appropriate disciplinary action once we understand the facts and circumstances underlining this incident.
