SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diegans will help a local pet groomer try to set the world record for most people kissing their dogs at once this Valentine's Day weekend.Camp Run-A-Mutt's 6th annual Valentine's Day Doggie Brunch will invite dogs and their owners out for a day of companionship and awareness. The day features dog adoptions through Second Chance Dog Rescue, raffle prizes, pet caricatures and photographers, Bub's at the Ballpark drink specials, and fund raising.To highlight the event, Camp Run-A-Mutt will also aim to set the world record for most people kissing their dogs at the same time.RELATED: County Clerk prepares for ‘busiest wedding day of the year’"We're always looking for new ways to get people out there for awareness," co-owner Kim Granche says. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Gas and Electric shut off power to nearly 2,500 customers as of Wednesday evening due to strong winds and the increased risk of wildfires.The shutoffs are in the communities of:AlpineCampoDescansoEl CajonPotreroSycuan ReservationAccording to the company, more than 31,000 customers were notified of being at risk of the outages.The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning from 8 a.m. Wednesday through noon Thursday for San Diego County’s inland valleys and mountains.SDG&E issued the following statement:“Public Safety Power Shutoffs are a last resort to protect public safety and reduce wildfire risk, and our employees are dedicated to doing everything we can to minimize impacts should it come to that. We understand the last thing our customers want to hear is that they may lose power given the holiday and COVID pandemic. Our meteorology team is closely monitoring the weather circuit by circuit, and it’s our hope that Mother Nature will cooperate and conditions will change, eliminating or reducing the need for safety power shutoffs. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego firefighters Thursday are attempting to rescue a window washer stuck in a harness outside the fourth floor of an apartment complex in University City.The rescue started about 2:30 p.m. on Palmilla Dr. at Regents Rd. at the La Regencia Apartments.UPDATE: Firefighters lowered the window washer to the ground. The man was evaluated by paramedics. 396
