But 8-year-old Caroline Graham is one of the first as a part of their early adopter program. And for her, it's not just about getting to participate in scout traditions. But getting to do more of what she loves; camping."You get to be outdoors," Graham said. "And you get to make way more friends."Until now, her dad would bring her along on some trips with her brothers, but as a girl scout, she often had to stay behind."I really wanted to go cause my brothers got to go," Graham said. "And now I actually can.""Every time we'd pull out of the driveway on her way to a camping trip her last though was, can I go?" Caroline's dad and den leader Andrew Graham said. "And we'd say not this time. But now that's gone."Andrew Graham says he's glad his daughter will be able to have the same opportunities as his sons."We're not trying to turn them into boys by no stretch of the imagination," said Andrew Graham. "We want them to just turn into the same leaders we're developing our boys to turn into. DEL MAR (CNS) - Horse racing at the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club has been canceled Thanksgiving Day due to stormy weather forecasts, racing officials announced Sunday. ``With inclement weather predicted to bring substantial rain on Wednesday and Thursday of the coming week, Del Mar Thoroughbred Club proactively canceled its scheduled Thanksgiving Day race card as part of its continuing emphasis on horse and rider safety,'' the club said on Twitter Sunday. Several of the races from Thursday's program, including the 0,000 Grade III Red Carpet Stakes, will be shifted to expanded race cards Saturday and next Sunday. DENVER, Colorado — While authorities said the suspicious package found outside the Colorado State Capitol Wednesday morning was not an issue, they are still investigating where it came from, what it is and why it was placed on the Capitol steps. Around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, authorities responded to the west steps of the Colorado State Capitol after a suspicious package was located. The steps were taped off for about half an hour while authorities, including a bomb squad, examined the scene. All nearby streets remained open.By 9 a.m., Colorado State Patrol confirmed the situation had been resolved and was a "non-issue."Trooper Gary Cutler with CSP said an American flag had been wrapped around the package and there were visible wires sticking out of it.
