SAN DIEGO (CNS and KGTV) - A young man and woman who had been dating were found dead in the doorway of a home in the Lake Murray area of San Diego in what authorities said was a murder-suicide.Police received a call about 8 p.m. Tuesday of someone being shot in the 6300 block of Budlong Avenue.When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Willow Singer and her ex-boyfriend 19-year-old Thomas Hayes with gunshot wounds to the upper body, according to Lt. Anthony Dupree of the San Diego Police Department. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 77-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured this afternoon by being struck by a car that was involved in a collision with another vehicle in La Jolla.The collision occurred at the intersection of La Jolla Boulevard and Nautilus Street, according to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.A 76-year-old man drove his Toyota Prius into the intersection during a red light and broadsided a Ford F150, which was driven by a 63-year-old man and had entered the intersection on a green light, Heims said.The Ford rotated and struck the pedestrian on the southwest corner of Nautilus Street and La Jolla Boulevard, according to Heims.The pedestrian sustained a Tibia/Fibula fracture in his left leg and other serious injuries, Heims said. The Toyota's driver sustained a minor cut on his face, and the Ford's driver was not injured.The San Diego Police Department's Traffic Division is investigating the crash, but drugs or alcohol is not suspected, according to Heims. 1008

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. (KGTV) - Border Patrol agents arrested a teenager Tuesday on suspicion of smuggling heroin along Interstate 5 in San Clemente. The 19-year-old man was weaving in and out of lanes near Camino de Estrella about 3 a.m., agents said. He drove his 1997 Chevy pickup truck to a nearby gas station and agents followed to conduct a safety check. “During the encounter, the agents grew suspicious of the driver’s behavior and they decided to request for a K-9 team to respond. The K-9 alerted to the truck’s engine compartment,” agent Theron S. Francisco said in a news release. Agents said they found four packages of heroin inside the truck’s air intake box. The drugs weighed almost five pounds and had a street value of about 7,000. The driver, a U.S. citizen, faces felony drug smuggling charges. 824
