(KGTV) - A North County gun store, Poway Weapons and Gear Range, is part of a group suing the state of California over a law which took effect earlier this year.The law makes it illegal to sell rifles and shotguns to anyone younger than 21. There are exceptions for military, law enforcement, and people with hunting licenses. A similar weapon was used by the gunman in the shooting at the Chabad of Poway synagogue, which killed one person and injured three others.Supporters of the law say it's a common sense regulation to help keep guns out of the hands of those who should not have them.Rudolph says California already has the strictest gun laws in the country and that more aren't needed. She also says the law prevents her store from offering the gun safety and training programs for teens and children that are an important factor in creating a culture of responsible gun ownerships. Pregnant women with COVID-19 face more possible risks, a new study has found.The study, which was published Tuesday in the British Medical Journal, revealed that pregnant women in the hospital with the virus are less likely to show symptoms but are more likely to be admitted to the intensive care unit.The researchers also stated that pregnant women are more likely to deliver preterm, and the newborns were more likely to be admitted to the neonatal unit."Other factors that increased the risk of severe COVID-19 in these women included being older, being overweight, and having pre-existing medical conditions such as hypertension or diabetes," researchers said.The study also stated that when compared with non-pregnant women of reproductive age, pregnant and recently pregnant women with COVID-19 were less likely to say they had a fever.Researchers said they analyzed 77 studies and looked at 11,432 pregnant women.The study, which was partially funded by the World Health Organization, was done by researchers in the United Kingdom, the US, Spain, China, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. 1103

(AP) — Police in Prescott Valley say a woman has been arrested in California in a custodial interference case.They say 36-year-old Erica Chantle Lunsford of Prescott Valley was being held on suspicion of kidnapping and unlawful use of a means of transportation.She remains in custody in California pending extradition to Arizona. Police say they were notified of a possible kidnapping involving a child around 1 p.m. Saturday.They say the victim reported her daughter had taken her vehicle without permission along with the two children, ages 5 and 10. Police say the victim is the custodial parent of the 10-year-old child.The California Highway Patrol located the stolen vehicle in Indio, arrested the suspect and recovered the children. 770
