ADRIAN, Mich. -- Police are investigating after an 85-year-old man was stabbed to death at a Meijer store in Michigan Wednesday afternoon. The suspect was arrested after a person with a concealed pistol license (CPL) intervened and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.The deadly incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Much of the details surrounding the incident are still being investigated.However, police say the victim was stabbed multiple times in the head and neck, and was pronounced dead at the scene. After the Trump Campaign requested the presidential debates be moved closer to the election because some states will begin mail-in voting while the debates are being held, the Commission on Presidential Debates denied the campaign’s request.In a letter addressed to Trump campaign surrogate Rudolph Giuliani, the commission said it will stick with its planned three presidential debates – the first being held on September 29, and final one on October 22.“ In 2016, when the debate schedule was similar, only .0069% of the electorate had voted at the time of the first debate. While more people will likely vote by mail in 2020, the debate schedule has been and will be highly publicized,” the commission wrote. “Any voter who wishes to watch one or more debates before voting will be well aware of that opportunity.”As part of Giuliani’s request, Trump’s team sought an additional debate this fall.The Trump campaign quickly countered the debate commission’s response.“We are disappointed in your response, but appreciate your openness to a fourth, or earlier, debate ‘if the candidates were to agree that they wished to add to that schedule[,]'" wrote Giuliani. “Your reply makes it clear that the idea of an earlier debate is, in effect, locked away in the basement, alone and diminished. After Johnny Bobbitt Jr., a homeless man with just in his pocket, gave stranded motorist Kate McClure the money for gas last October, the woman and her boyfriend raised 0,000 to help him out.But the feel-good viral story recently devolved into a feud over how much money Bobbitt had yet to see.The case went to a New Jersey court on Thursday, where a judge ruled the couple needs to provide a full accounting of where the money has gone and said until then the remaining money needs to be turned over to Bobbitt's legal team and kept in a trust.According to CNN affiliates WPVI and KYW, McClure and Mark D'Amico had the money they raised on GoFundMe in their personal accounts, Bobbitt's lawyer said.The two sides differed as to how much had been disbursed. McClure's and D'Amico's attorney said they had provided Bobbitt with more than 0,000, WPVI and KYW reported. Bobbitt's lawyer, Chris Fallon, said the amount was about ,000.CNN called Ernest Badway, an attorney for the couple, who said he had no comment. A woman is accused of breaking into a Paradise Valley home, bathing in the homeowner’s bathtub, and sending tens of thousands of disturbing text messages to the man’s phone after the pair went on one date.In July 2017, 31-year-old Jacqueline Ades was found parked outside of the victim’s home, police said. The man also accused her of repeatedly texting him, despite him saying he no longer wanted to talk to her. Officers found Ades still outside the victim’s home when they arrived and told her to leave, officials said. Shortly after, the man started to receive threatening text messages from the suspect. Police received a similar report in December from the same residence, but officers were unable to locate her.On April 8, the victim called a detective a third time, saying he was out of the country, but saw Ades in his home while checking his home surveillance video. When officers arrived at the home, the woman was taking a bath, police said. A large butcher knife was discovered on the passenger’s seat of her car, court paperwork said. She was taken into custody and charged with trespassing.After Ades was released from jail, she allegedly started sending more threatening text messages to the victim — some of the messages alluded that “harm may come to him,” authorities said.Less than three weeks later, the victim called authorities to report receiving multiple threatening text messages from her, court documents said. The man also explained that they met on a dating website, and after one date Ades began stalking and harassing him.Ades allegedly sent about 65,000 text messages to the man’s phone. The victim said that she sent about 500 text messages to him a day, court documents said. In one of Ades' messages, she allegedly stated, “…Don’t ever try to leave me…I’ll kill you...I don't wanna be a murderer." She also said that she wanted to wear his body parts and bathe in his blood, court paperwork said.On May 4, police were called to a business in Scottsdale after passersby reported Ades "acting irrationally and claiming to be the owner's wife," police said. The owner of the business is the Paradise Valley homeowner.Ades was arrested on Tuesday on charges of threatening, stalking and harassment.While being questioned by police, the suspect explained that she sent the man text messages all day but he never responded, court documents said. She said that she threatened him because she was worried he had called police to report her behavior. The woman is also accused of admitting that she threatened him because she didn’t want him to leave and because she loved him, court paperwork said.
