LAKELAND, Fla. -- A family argument on Mother's Day turned violent and ended in the arrest of a mother and a son in Lakeland, Florida. Seth Bryant, 27, was arrested for felony battery (domestic violence) on his father, 58-year-old Clayton Bryant, after deputies say Seth and Clayton got into a physical argument over alcohol. The father and son were arguing after Seth demanded he be allowed to have more alcohol, according to the arrest affidavits. Seth reportedly put his fist against his father's face and pushed him with it, deputies say. After deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office arrived on scene, Seth reportedly made numerous derogatory racial comments toward the deputy who is black. As Seth was being arrested, Judy Bryant, 54, shoved her husband against a counter and said "How's this for domestic violence?" She then refused commands by the deputies and resisted the deputy's efforts to arrest her. (KGTV) - Roberta Walker, Executive Director of the Cardiff 101 Main Street Association and longtime advocate for more bike lanes, was hit by a truck while riding her bicycle Saturday morning in the Leucadia community of Encinitas. Walker was riding past the Leucadia post office on North Coast Highway 101 just past 6 a.m. when she was rear-ended by a truck, according to a Sheriff's Department spokesperson. They would not release any formation about the driver. Walker is currently in critical but stable condition. She underwent a second skull surgery Monday morning, and has also had a lung operation. Friends say Walker was a beloved and active member of the Encinitas community who has campaigned for increased safety along the North Coast Highway 101 corridor. In particular, she is a supporter of the plan known as the Leucadia Streetscape, which would remove one lane of traffic in each direction, replaced by bike lanes and roundabouts. (KGTV) -- La Mesa officials Tuesday released documentation which details the May 30-31 protests that evolved into riots, looting, and property destruction in the city.City officials said they released their timeline as part of a “commitment to transparency.” According to officials, the timeline of events is “primarily based on law enforcement incident logs throughout the day.”In the document, officials noted the La Mesa Police Department and the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office were aware of rallies scheduled around the county for May 30 and began their preparations for potential protests on May 28.A peaceful rally with about 200 protesters took place May 29 outside of La Mesa police headquarters, with a larger event planned for the following day.Police worked with sheriff’s officials and the California Highway Patrol to oversee the May 30 protest.READ: La Mesa protest turns violent with fires, lootingAccording to the timeline of events, a peaceful protest began in the city just after 2 p.m. About 90 minutes later, the city informed residents via a Nixle message and tweet of the protest’s impact near University Avenue and Baltimore Drive. (KGTV) - Three dozen scuba divers resumed their search Tuesday for the Canadian girl believed to have drowned in the San Vicente Reservoir.The 12-year-old girl was on a ski boat with six people, including her parents and younger sister, Saturday afternoon when she fell in the water and did not surface.Search teams later found the girl’s damaged life jacket five feet from the boat.RELATED: Search for missing 12-year-old at San Vicente Reservoir continues“The child was at the front of the boat.
