Spotify confirmed to Billboard Thursday that it will no longer promote R. Kelly's music on its editorial and algorithm-based playlists due to sexual misconduct allegations against the singer.In a statement to Billboard, the streaming service said it would no longer actively promote the singer's music under a new "Hateful Conduct" policy."We don’t censor content because of an artist’s or creator’s behavior, but we want our editorial decisions -- what we choose to program -- to reflect our values. When an artist or creator does something that is especially harmful or hateful, it may affect the ways we work with or support that artist or creator," Spotify's policy states.Spotify users can still access Kelly's music by going directly to his page, and users can still add his music to playlists they curate themselves.Kelly has been accused of sexual assault and statutory rape multiple times over the past 20 years. In 2001, a sex tape emerged that prosecutors alleged featured Kelly and an underaged girl. Kelly was found not guilty on 14 counts of child pornography in 2008 in connection with the tape.A number of women came told BuzzFeed in 2017 that Kelly was "brainwashing" victims into joining a sex "cult." Someone broke into Queen Califia’s Magical Circle located in Kit Carson Park.The sculpture garden features many works of art, including a mosaic maze, totem sculptures, a fountain, and a wall in the form of playful serpents.  The vandals cut the lock to the gate leading into the property. Then they smashed more than 20 custom shaped mirrors in the mosaic maze.  They also damaged two of the totems. The damage was discovered this week.Lech Juretko, of Art Mosaic Inc, helped the artist, Niki de Saint Phalle, create the sculpture garden for the community. He is also the one charged with repairing it.“I cannot really explain it,” Juretko said about the damage, “It’s sad. It’s never happened.”Juretko estimates it will cost ,000 to ,000 to repair the damage. He did not have a timeline for the repairs.The City of Escondido released the following statement to 10News.“The City plans to keep Queen Califia’s Magical Circle open during the regularly scheduled hours, weather permitting. Signage will be posted, and areas that could possibly be sharp from the glass and tile breakage will be blocked off. In addition, we always have a volunteer docent on site at all times while the sculpture garden is open to the public. We are deeply saddened this beautiful space has been vandalized and will restore it to its original condition as safely and quickly as possible.”De Saint Phalle is also known as the creator of the famous Sun God sculpture on the UC San Diego campus. 1529

(KGTV) — The son of a Spring Valley couple killed in an accident in Hawaii is honoring them by creating a space for others to find peace.“This isn’t going to get easier, it’s going to get harder," Joseph Harmes says as he talks about the death of his mom, Gladys, and step-father, George Novinger.The family was vacationing in Hawaii when Gladys and George were crossing a river and fell to their death in 2017. He’s doing so by creating the Hacienda Wellness Retreat Center on their property, the Vineyard Hacienda.Harmes says his mom always had a love for life, focusing on her mental, physical, and emotional needs. He wants to share that mentality with others. Another touch will be beautifying a koi pond which was a favorite spot for Gladys. He says she named a lot of the koi after aunts and uncles in Spain. But it’s the support Harmes says he doesn’t physically have anymore that reminds him every day of his loss. “I think the biggest thing I miss about her is that she was my biggest cheerleader," Harmes added. 1963

Special counsel Robert Mueller's team last year made clear it wanted former Trump campaign deputy Rick Gates' help, not so much against his former business partner Paul Manafort, but with its central mission: investigating the Trump campaign's contact with the Russians. New information disclosed in court filings and to CNN this week begin to show how they're getting it.In a court filing earlier this week, the public saw the first signs of how the Mueller team plans to use information from Gates to tie Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman, directly to a Russian intelligence agency. Mueller's team alleges that Gates was in contact with a close colleague of Manafort's who worked for a Russian intelligence agency -- and that Gates knew of the spy service ties in September and October 2016, while he worked on the Trump campaign. Gates would have to talk about the communication with the man if prosecutors wanted, according to his plea deal.That's in line with what prosecutors told Gates months ago during high-stakes negotiations, CNN has learned. They told him they didn't need his cooperation against Manafort, according to a person familiar with the investigation, and instead wanted to hear what he knew about contact between the Trump campaign and Russians.The extent of Gates' knowledge about any such contact or what he told prosecutors hasn't been made public.As part of Gates' agreement to cooperate with the special counsel a month ago, he earned a vastly reduced potential sentence and had several charges dropped in two criminal cases against him.Gates' plea also adds to mounting pressure on his co-defendant Manafort -- who so far the government is making a central player in the investigation -- to change his plea and potentially help investigators. Under his plea agreement, Gates still could be called to testify against Manafort.Mueller's court filing Tuesday night, in a separate case for a lawyer whose firm did legal work for Gates and Manafort, made public the most direct effort yet by Mueller's team to draw a line between Manafort and the Trump campaign to Russian operatives.
