The site says, however, that limited availability makes seats hard to come by at the discounted rates. Christmas TravelFor Christmas, AAA found that booking flights between 61 to 90 days before the holiday, or between September 26 and October 27, is best. Last-minute Christmas travelers can find the best pricing between seven to 13 days before the holiday, according to AAA. However, much like Thanksgiving, availability is likely to be limited. “Procrastinating travelers may be able to find last-minute deals on flights close to the holidays, as airlines look to fill their last few remaining seats, but flight availability for these peak travel weeks will be very limited by that time," Twidale continued. 1492
