A draft list was put online at the end of last year seeking public feedback.Subsequently, a second draft added more than 400 common dishes at restaurants in Beijing's Houhai and Wangjing districts, where foreigners like to gather.The recent draft has been online since last Saturday, at www.bjenglish.com.cn and www.bjta.gov.cn.The finished draft is likely to be published in October, said an official with the Beijing Speaks Foreign Languages Program, quoted by the Beijing News.The final version will be published online and "recommended" to restaurants.Restaurants will not be forced by the government to use the suggested translations, the newspaper quoted an unnamed tourism administration official as saying.

Online computer games and their related services topped the complaint list of Chinese consumers last year, followed by telecom services and mobile phones respectively, the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce (CECC) said here on Saturday.     The website www.315ts.net, which falls under the CECC, received 55,817 complaints in 2007, up 23.2 percent year on year. In total,24,634 cases were related to online products and included online sales fraud, website ID information theft and online games complaints.     The chamber said complaints about refrigerators surged 114.37 percent year on year to 761 cases, the highest annual growth rate among grievances of all electronic product items.     More than 60 companies, including LG, TCL, Haier, Fuji and Canon, were rated as outstanding enterprises in dealing with customer complaints, according to the body.     The CECC also named and shamed 40 companies that did a poor job in handling customer complaints last year. The country's fast-developing tourism industry is expected to boost the hotel sector, a senior official has said.About 200,000 new hotels, resorts and guesthouses are likely to be built by 2015, head of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) Shao Qiwei said on Thursday.Addressing a seminar on domestic and international hotels' groups, he said the new structures will include about 10,000 star-rated hotels.
