The World Health Organization is looking into it, but some experts are already saying that changes in taste and smell might be a useful tool to screen people for infection. EL PASO, Texas — There's a work of art going up on a wall in El Paso, Texas. The man behind it is Manuel Oliver. He lost his son, Joaquin, in the Parkland school shooting.Sunday would've been Joaquin's 19th birthday.Oliver was already scheduled to be in El Paso, Texas, this weekend, putting a mural up at an immigrant advocacy center, when the mass shooting happened Saturday."Because it is his birthday, we always try to put together things that Joaquin would do," Oliver said. "And this is something that Joaquin will be very happy to do. Scream out his support for the immigrants."He is continuing with the mural, but hasn't said what it will be yet, only saying it will show support for the city of El Paso. People will have to just wait until it is revealed."This is the reason why we are here," the artist said. "Now, yesterday, 29 people were shot down, just like Joaquin.“It's very painful. And, um, I think ... somebody needs to do the dirty job."Murals like the one he is painting in El Paso have been Oliver's post-Parkland calling.“I'm not taking this as a new norm, " Oliver said. CHICAGO - Former “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett has pleaded not guilty to restored charges that accuse him of staging a racist, homophobic attack against himself last year and falsely reporting it to Chicago police. His lawyer, Tina Glandian, entered the not guilty pleas on his behalf to six counts of felony disorderly conduct. She also told Judge James B. Linn that she's asked the Illinois Supreme Court to halt the case. Glandian told reporters that the revived prosecution is “an ordeal” for Smollett. CASHION, Okla. — A 65-year-old Oklahoma woman has been charged after body camera video shows her combative confrontation with a police officer when she refused to sign an ticket.Video shows Debra Hamil was not willing to pay up when a Cashion police officer issued the ticket for a broken tail light.When the officer asked her to step out of her vehicle, she refused, told him he was "full of sh**," driving off and leading the officer on a brief pursuit.Hamil eventually pulled over in a parking lot, and the officer approached her vehicle with his gun pulled. The officer then pulled Hamil out of her truck, and she was caught on camera kicking him in the groin and resisting arrest.The officer deployed his Taser after she refused to put her hands behind her back, finally placing her under arrest."Do you realize you just got yourself in a whole lot more trouble?" the officer says."Yeah, I tried to kick you because I'm a country girl," Hamil said.Hamil refused medical attention, but officials said they brought her to the hospital for an assessment.The Kingfisher County District Attorney's office has accepted charges against Hamil for one felony assault on a police officer and one misdemeanor for resisting arrest. 1240
