SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are investigating after a couple was found dead in a Torrey Highlands home Saturday night. According to police, the couple was expected in San Francisco earlier in the day, but they never showed up. When police arrived at the home on the 7400 block of Via Rivera in Torrey Highlands just before 10 p.m., they saw the body of a person through a window of the home. After entering the house, officers found an Asian man and woman in their 50s dead with trauma to their upper bodies. 10News spoke to neighbors who were stunned to see all the police activity in their quiet neighborhood."Everybody seems to mind their own business, I haven't heard of any problems whatsoever," neighbor Salam Hasenin said. "I hope we go back to our peaceful environment and I just feel really sad and bad for the people."Nick Palermino shares a back wall with the victims' home. He did not recall any commotion happening Saturday night. "We have a dog that has a doggie door, and she wasn't barking last night at all," Palermino said. "I hope it is isolated to this one incident. I hope it is not burglary that went bad."According to police, the victims’ home does not appear to be disturbed. Detectives are investigating the deaths. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego police are looking for the driver that hit and killed a man in Chollas Creek early Friday morning.SDPD officers say it happened around 1 a.m. on Chollas Parkway. The man was either standing or walking in the street when a speeding car hit him.The victim died at the scene, police confirmed.Police do not have a description of the car but say it was a racer-type vehicle with a loud muffler. It was last seen driving southbound on 54th Street.SDPD's Traffic Division is investigating the crash. 531

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Residents in a senior mobile home park in Oceanside are worried about speeding drivers after two ducks were hit and killed Wednesday. Neighbors told 10News a mom, dad and baby duck were crossing the road around 5 a.m. when a newspaper delivery driver ran them over.Several residents reported that the driver responsible delivers the San Diego Union-Tribune newspaper and regularly speeds on their narrow roads.The UT told 10News their carriers are employed by a separate company but issued the following statement: "We have learned that a carrier from an independent distributor, who delivers The San Diego Union-Tribune, may have been involved in an auto collision involving a family of ducks. Safety is a priority for us and we support safe and respectful work practices among the vendors with whom we do business. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Residents in San Ysidro and Tijuana are fearful of what will come next after hundreds of migrants rushed the border Sunday in a show of force.Commuters told 10News they fear that they won’t be able to get across a bridge in San Ysidro to work or cross over to see family.In Mexico, residents say they’re fed up with the flood of migrants. “Deport them back to where they are, let them over here. They need to get out of Tijuana because it's just crazy for us,” said Candace Sanchez, a Tijuana resident.On the US side, those with family south of the border are concerned with what the future holds. “It worries me that the border might get closed. I mean it's like uh what's going on? We've never really seen this before,” said Victor Juarez.Employees who depend on their jobs in the US are also frightened. “Kinda scary because you know, I mean, every day we just know that we have to do what we have to do every day just to survive,” said Dana Aviles.Many people missed a day of work due to Sunday’s border closure, taking a toll with the holiday gift-giving season approaching. “I just hope they get out of here in Tijuana and let our lives be normal again, you know,” added Sanchez. 1213

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in several Mission Valley vehicle burglaries. According to police, three separate vehicles were burglarized in a parking garage on the 2200 block of Camino de la Reina on August 16 between 2 and 5 a.m. Surveillance video captured the suspect using a flashlight to look into several vehicles in the garage. The suspect then broke into the vehicles by shattering windows, taking miscellaneous items, police say. The suspect is described as a white male with a medium build last seen wearing dark colored, framed glasses, a black t-shirt with a white image on the front, blue jeans and black and white tennis shoes.
