Police in Illinois have deemed a local man a hero after he raced to rescue a man from a burning vehicle on Sunday evening.According to the Aurora Police Department's Facebook page, a 57-year-old man rushed to the rescue after a single-car crash just after midnight on Saturday. Dash cam video from the crash shows the man dragging the driver away from the car by his legs as flames shoot out of the driver's side window.According to Aurora police, it was 58-year-old Jose Martinez who rushed out of his home to save the driver, a 34-year-old man. A second man, 29-year-old Devin Johnson, also helped by pulling the man away from the car.  "To say Jose's actions were heroic and brave are an understatement. Had he not taken immediate action, the driver would not have lived," the department wrote on Facebook. " Devin should also be commended for assuring the man was out of harm's way. Pepsi is buying one of the world's top sparkling water brands.The drinks company announced Monday that it would take over SodaStream, an Israeli company that sells do-it-yourself seltzer makers, in a deal worth .2 billion.The move will boost Pepsi's efforts to shift from its traditional high-calorie soft drinks business to offering healthier options.SodaStream's products, marketed as a healthy alternative to sugary sodas, fit Pepsi's goal of "making more nutritious products while limiting our environmental footprint," Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi said in a statement. "Together, we can advance our shared vision of a healthier, more sustainable planet."Nooyi, who will step down in October after more than a decade as chief executive, has steered Pepsi toward healthier offerings, saying it's important for the company's future because of consumers' increasing attention to health. She will be replaced by Ramon Laguarta, Pepsi's head of global operations.Nooyi split the company's products into three categories: Fun For You includes traditional, higher-calorie soft drinks and snacks. Better For You includes diet drinks and lower-calorie snacks, such as potato chips that are baked instead of deep-fried. And Good For You includes foods such as Quaker Oats oatmeal, Sabra hummus and Naked Juice smoothies.Buying SodaStream will further boost Pepsi's health credentials. PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — Using animals like dogs and horses for therapy when it comes to PTSD is fairly common, but there is a Vietnam veteran in Pinellas County who is using Birds of Prey.“When I feel worthless they remind me that I have a purpose, they give me a reason to get up even on my bad days,” said Ria Warner.Warner is married to a military veteran and also suffers from her own past trauma. She said when she started bonding with Birds of Prey, like Thunder the Bald Eagle, she felt like she had grown a pair of wings herself.“They help me to identify little things before like an anxiety attack or depression would set in, so they’ll help you find those triggers before they get pulled,” said Warner.Over the past seven years, Patrick Bradley has paired dozens of different species with more than 4,000 military veterans and their families.“The raptors are apex predators, so are soldiers, number two, the raptors were hurt, so were soldiers, so they bonded quicker,” said Bradley.All of the birds come from wildlife rehabilitation organizations. Their injuries deemed too severe to be released back into the wild.“We don’t hand veterans right from the wild our animals, these birds have been vetted by us,” said Bradley.Bradley credits the bald eagle for saving his own life after returning from Vietnam. (KGTV) -- A dozen undocumented migrants were arrested Thursday after they were discovered inside a stack of hay aboard a tractor trailer, Border Patrol says.According to the agency, the discovery was made at the Interstate 8 checkpoint in Pine Valley around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.USBP says a K-9 alerted Border Patrol agents about a void inside the trailer, containing the migrants.All 12 people were arrested along with the 46-year-old driver, who is a U.S. citizen, Border Patrol says.“Human smugglers have no regard for life,” said Chief Patrol Agent Aaron M. Heitke. “This tight space within the hay-stacks was not ventilated and was not designed with passenger safety in mind. I am proud of our agents. Police bodycam footage shows a man body-slamming a suspect who was resisting arrest in Provo, Utah, police said.Officer Austin Williams was responding to a Sam’s Club on July 24 for a welfare check when a man attacked the officer, then fled on foot.As he was fleeing, bodycam video shows an unidentified man lift the suspect in the air and slam him to the ground."Chief Ferguson wants to thank that person for coming to the aid of an officer in need.
