NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio — Sometimes police get really strange calls. Such was the case for officers in North Ridgeville, Ohio, who received a call from a man who said while walking home from a train station, a pig started following him, and he didn't know what to do.Thinking he had just left the bar in Elyria named the Train Station, police went out to pick up the caller, who they believed was drunk.When officers arrived, they found the man stone-cold sober, complete with his four-legged stalker in tow.According to authorities, the man told them he was walking home from an Amtrak station when the animal decided to go for a walk with him.In the end, the pig was very cooperative and was placed in the back of a police cruiser and taken to the station. Police made the animal feel at home for a bit inside the department's dog kennels until the owner was notified, and it was picked up.Authorities didn't say if the owner was cited for having a pig on the loose.  1021

They pushed me off the road.”On Tuesday evening, she returned to that very spot for the first time since she almost lost her life.“I was all by myself. I was totally alone, and I called Nick and I said, ‘Honey, there’s flames all around me, and I’m gonna die. Nine undocumented immigrants were detained Thursday after a small panga boat landed in Laguna Beach, California, according to police.Seven people who came off the boat were detained, the Laguna Beach Police Department said, in addition to 2 drivers who were in what police described as "take-away" vehicles waiting to pick the migrants up.All 9 are undocumented, according a spokesman for the US Customs and Border Patrol, and their countries of origin are unknown.A panga is a boat often used for working off the coast of Mexico or Central America, according to the US Coast Guard. The engine-powered vessels are typically 25 to 45 feet long.They're also popular for smuggling, according to Theron Francisco, a border patrol spokesman.Laguna Beach police said there were actually a total of 13 individuals who came ashore in the boat. The department shared a video on its Twitter page that appeared to be shot from a nearby balcony, showing the group pulling the panga boat out of the surf before making their way up the beach.Similar incidents played out in the area earlier this year.On June 19, another panga boat came ashore in Crystal Cove State Park, just north of Laguna Beach, police said in a press release at the time.
