LOS ANGELES, (KGTV) – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced that the agency is offering ,000 for information on the whereabouts of stolen firearms believed to be in San Diego.Authorities with the bureau say 18 firearms were stolen from Turner’s Outdoorsman in the early morning hours of May 1.Officials added that one person is already in custody for the theft, but that ATF is asking for help identifying the location of the guns.“Firearms theft from licensed gun dealers is one of the top priorities for ATF,” said McMullan. “Experience shows these guns will likely end up being used in a crime. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Lawyers for the family of a black man killed by police in a busy Southern California parking lot said Monday that an autopsy found he was shot 10 times and died from choking on his own blood.The autopsy concluded that 26-year-old Diante Yarber died of asphyxiation and that had he been given medical treatment, he would have had a chance at surviving his wounds, attorney S. Lee Merritt said at a news conference.The autopsy was conducted by a private medical examiner at Merritt's request. An autopsy by San Bernardino County authorities has not been released and it's unclear whether it's been finished.Merritt, who is planning on filing a civil rights lawsuit in the case this week, said the private autopsy found that Yarber had wounds to his chest, back and arms and that he wasn't given medical treatment for "a great deal of time.""The injuries are consistent with defensive wounds ... as he was shielding himself and trying to escape the onslaught of bullets," Merritt said.Merritt did not respond to a message seeking a copy of the autopsy report. LONDON (AP) — Archaeologists said Monday that they have discovered a major prehistoric monument under the earth near Stonehenge that could shed new light on the origins of the mystical stone circle in southwestern England.Experts from a group of British universities say the site consists of at least 20 huge shafts, more than 10 meters, or 32 feet, in diameter and 5 meters deep, forming a circle more than 2 kilometers— over a mile — in diameter.Researchers say the shafts appear to have been dug around 4,500 years ago.Scientists believe the shafts could mark the boundary of a sacred area or precinct around a circular monument known as the Durrington Walls henge, about 3 kilometers, or 2 miles, from Stonehenge.The Guardian obtained a photo of the new discovery. 776
