BRADENTON, Fla. — A Bradenton family is calling into question the Manatee County School District’s dress code policy after their daughter was forced to put band-aids on her nipples.Lizzy Martin, 17, said a dean told her to put a shirt on over her top, because she wasn’t wearing a bra.Martin said she complied, but the dean still wasn’t satisfied. Martin said she was sent to the nurses office to put band-aids over her nipples. “It was humiliating,” said Martin.School district officials said the student’s attire was distracting for the student body, but acknowledged that the issue could have been handled better. 629

Beyoncé sent a letter to Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron on Sunday, demanding justice for Breonna Taylor.Taylor was shot and killed in her home on March 13 after police executed a no-knock warrant during a narcotics investigation. Taylor's boyfriend fired at police, thinking they were intruders. Police then returned fire, shooting and killing Taylor. No drugs were found in the home.Last week, the city of Louisville banned the use of no-knock warrants with "Breonna's Law." Later, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, introduced legislation that would ban no-knock warrants across the country.However, for Beyoncé, that's not enough. In her letter, she asked that the officers involved be held accountable for their actions. She mentioned that no arrests have been made in connection with Taylor's death, and the officers involved still have their jobs with the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).Beyoncé asked for three things in her letter. Beginning in late October, Marriott International Inc., says they will lay off over 600 employees at its headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland.In an email to E.W. Scripps, a spokesman for the hotel chain said 673 employees would be laid off.The spokesman added that employees that were furloughed would be back at the end of September.In 2018, Marriott began construction on its new headquarters and hoped to relocate by early 2022, the company said in a press release.The company currently has over 3,500 employees working at its headquarters.According to the Baltimore Sun, the old building will be turned into a senior living center after Erickson Living bought it. 673
