"Who in our society in the year 2020-2021 balances her family life and her work life."Biden is an English professor at Northern Virginia Community College. Even though the pandemic has brought new challenges to teaching, she says she will continue her full-time job as an educator while standing alongside her husband in the White House next year.“She has said on many occasions ‘being a teacher isn’t what I do, it’s who I am,'” Jellison said.Kim Churches is the CEO of American Association for University Women. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) - A 16-year-old is battling life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in the East County.The teenager was hit by the vehicle at about 8 p.m. Monday near the intersection of East Washington Avenue and Waterloo Ave., El Cajon police said.Police arrived to find the teenager unconscious in the road and transported him to a nearby hospital. The identification of the victim is being withheld, police said.Police added that the teen was with three other male teenagers, who had been running south across East Washington Ave. outside of a crosswalk when the collision occurred. The driver of the Toyota Rav4 that struck the victim remained at the scene and has been cooperating with authorities. Police said they don't believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.Witnesses told 10News the intersection can be dangerous for pedestrians in the area. 921

Dr. Anthony Fauci said during a Congressional hearing Tuesday that President Donald Trump has never directed him to "slow down" the amount of coronavirus testing being conducted in the U.S. in order to prevent new cases from being reported.Fauci added that to his knowledge, Trump had not issued such a direction to anyone else on the coronavirus task force.In addition, Fauci said that the U.S. would be conducting more testing in the coming months and increasing contact tracing abilities.Dr. Robert Redfield, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, also denied that he had been told by Trump to limit the number of tests.On Saturday, at a rally in Oklahoma, Trump said that he asked officials in his administration to "slow down" testing capacity in order to keep the number of confirmed cases steady.
