LAKEWOOD, Ohio — When she heard Jimmy Adkins was running his own taxi service in Ohio she immediately warned her friends and family."We want people to know that he's out there," said a witness who did not want to be identified.That's because the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department says Adkins is a registered sex offender. One that's been convicted twice, in his most recent crime involving a young relative."My niece was living with him and that's when he made the attempt to have sex with her," said the witness.Adkins is running a service called Lakewood Smart Taxi.He needs a license to run his service, but he doesn't have one. (KGTV) - New research at UC San Diego has found that breast milk does not spread the Coronavirus."I think it's safe to say that breast milk is safe, that donor milk is safe, and that the benefits of breastfeeding outweigh the risks," says Dr. Lars Bode, the Director of the UC San Diego Mommy’s Milk Human Milk Research Biorepository, which conducted the study. "We don't have any risks identified at this point."A preliminary research letter, published in August in the Journal of the American Medical Association, found "No replication-competent virus was detectable in any sample."The study analyzed multiple breast milk samples from women who had recently given birth and been infected with SARS-COVID-2, the disease that causes coronavirus. LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) -- A 16-year-old died following a solo-vehicle crash in Lakeside late Saturday night. According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Willow Road around 10:45 p.m. Saturday. CHP says the vehicle appears to have been traveling at “a high rate of speed” when the driver lost control, veered off the road and hit a large tree. Three passengers in the vehicle also received injuries ranging from moderate to major. Monday night, friends confirmed with 10News that a second teen, with major injuries, was taken of life support and his organs were donated to help save other lives. Friends identified the teens as Justin Kyte and Isaac Culkin, both 16-years-old.According to CHP, the right front passenger, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital with major injuries. LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (KABC) -- A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was killed after being hit by a vehicle on the 15 Freeway in Lake Elsinore Saturday. The officer was hit by a sedan near Nichols Road at about 4:30 p.m. and airlifted to a hospital, prompting a closure of the southbound lanes. The officer killed was identified by CHP in a social media post as Sgt. Steve Licon. "Our hearts are heavy after the immeasurable loss of a friend, father, husband, and hero," the social media post said. The southbound lanes of the freeway were fully closed from Indian Truck Trail to Nichols Road due to a police investigation, Caltrans said.
