A viral video showing security camera footage taken in Chula Vista on Halloween night may help restore your faith in the honor system. Kim Manalo's family joined the throngs of trick-or-treaters racing door-to-door in their neighborhood.  Manalo wanted to keep the spirit of Halloween alive at her home while they were out, so, she left a bowl filled with candy outside their door with a note asking people to help themselves.  Her hope was that people would leave a treat for the next candy-seeker."We came home to an empty bowl and hoped there weren't greedy kids that didn't leave some behind for others," Manalo wrote on her post.She studied security footage to see if perhaps someone grabbed more than their share of goodies. What Manalo found on her security camera video was a surprise that almost made her cry."Instead we found this clip of a wonderful soul who shared some candy from his own bag to keep the halloween spirit going for other kids," Manalo wrote.RELATED: Meet the boy whose generous act went viralThe video shows one of the boys reach into his bag and place some of his own candy in the bowl for the next trick-or-treaters. “He didn't even know the camera was there,” Manalo said. “None of his friends knew and to take that second out of his time from his own stuff just really warmed my heart.”10News posted the surveillance video on Facebook after Manalo's friend shared the footage with reporter Joe Little.  The video has garnered hundreds of reactions, shares, and comments."If only all of us raised our children to be so thoughtful even when no one is seemingly looking. A section of the second floor of a parking garage in Irving, Texas, collapsed on Tuesday. After an initial search, officials told local media outlets there appeared to be no injured victims.The section of the garage that fell was estimated at 40 feet by 40 feet, The Dallas Morning News reports. Twenty-one vehicles were involved in the collapse.The cause hasn't been determined. 397

A suspect has been arrested in the package bombing at a church in Beaumont, Texas, as well as a bomb found outside a Starbucks coffee shop that did not detonate, authorities said Friday.Jonathan M. Torres, 40, of Beaumont, was charged Friday with use of an explosive to cause property damage; possession of an unregistered destructive device (improvised destructive device); and mailing a threatening communication, according to court records.Torres' first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday. A request from children is changing the future of LEGO kits. The company announced they will be phasing out their single-use plastic bags used to separate parts of their kits beginning next year.“We have received many letters from children about the environment asking us to remove single-use plastic packaging. We have been exploring alternatives for some time and the passion and ideas from children inspired us to begin to make the change,” stated CEO Niels Christiansen in a company release.The toymaker has set a goal of making all of their packaging sustainable by the end of 2025. Beginning in 2021, they will look at using recyclable paper bags in their kits.Testing has already taken place, and LEGO says kids liked the paper bags because they were environmentally friendly and easy to open.Other LEGO products will be getting an environmentally friendly makeover in the future, too. The company said it is testing blocks made from sugar cane and other sustainable materials. 992

A North Carolina air traffic controller was arrested Friday for allegedly having a weapon of mass destruction, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.Paul George Dandan, 30, a worker at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, was charged with acquiring, possessing and transporting a weapon of mass destruction, police said in a statement.Last week, police received a 911 call that someone had a homemade explosive at a Charlotte home. When officers arrived, they found a homemade pipe bomb, authorities said.Investigators said another man, 39-year-old Derrick Fells, built the bomb to "use it against a neighbor with whom he was involved in an ongoing dispute." But Fells changed his mind and gave Dandan the device, police said.Both men were arrested Friday, but it's unclear how they knew each other.Fells was charged with three counts of manufacturing a weapon of mass destruction and one count of possession of a weapon of mass destruction, police said.Police did not say what Dandan's intentions were or whether he took the bomb to the airport.The Federal Aviation Administration said Dandan's access to the airport "was terminated."In a statement, the Charlotte Douglas International Airport said Dandan did not have access to any aircraft."The FAA employee only had access to the "offsite air traffic control tower and had no access to the restricted areas of the terminal or ramp," the statement said.The FBI describes a weapon of mass destruction as any explosive, incendiary, or poisonous gas, including a bomb, grenade or rocket that has an explosive or incendiary charge of more than four ounces."Any weapons designed or intend to cause death or serious bodily injury through the release, dissemination, or impact of toxic or poisonous chemicals, or their precursors," the FBI says on its website. 1834
