BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Irina Bokova on Tuesday afternoon.
He called for concrete actions by both countries to build a new type of military-to-military relationship that is compatible with the new model of major-country relations, as agreed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama at their June summit at the Annenberg Estate in California.
He made the remarks while visiting JD.com, a leading e-commerce giant in China.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that a shipment of Fonterra-made lactoferrin was stopped in China in May after Chinese authorities found it contained excessive levels of nitrates.
To ensure coordinated economic and social development, the population size for China should be kept at about 1.5 billion, said Guo, citing the results of a study sponsored by the State Council, China's cabinet.
