LAS VEGAS — Six months ago, 58 innocent people lost their lives in a shooting on the Las Vegas Strip. Hundreds of people gathered Sunday, April 1 to remember the 58 people who were killed in the deadliest mass shooting in modern history.The gathering took place outside of the venue where the deadly shooting took place on Oct. 1, 2017.Organizers handed out 58 white glow sticks.Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak presented 58 red roses to the organizers.After a reading of the names of the dead and a moment of silence, the attendees took a solemn walk around the perimeter of the festival grounds, which are inaccessible.  647

LA JOLLA, Calif. (KGTV) - San Diego photographers, mark your calendars for Scrippshenge. Named for the ancient British site Stonehenge, where the sun lines up among ancient stones on the solstice, the sun lines up with the gap in La Jolla’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography pier on certain days of the year. The natural phenomenon makes for spectacular photos. This summer, Scrippshenge is set to take place August 7 - 9, according to the Photo Ephemeris app. “You might even get the shot on Aug 10/11 also, probably with a partially set sun,” says Stephen Trainor of Crookneck Apps. “You'll see the sunset line is ever so slightly to the north of the pier center: that's what you need, because sunset is the moment the sun disappears below the horizon, hence in order to frame the setting sun between the legs of the pier, it still needs to be just above the horizon, and therefore true sunset has to be just slightly to the north,” says Trainor. LAKE HODGES (KGTV) - A San Diego woman tells 10News she was bit by a tick at Lake Hodges and diagnosed with Lyme disease a month later. Sheila Greer has hiked Lake Hodges for 33 years she tells 10News, "I've never had an issue." Greer hiked the same trails at the end of June. She says that's when she believes she got bit by a tick, "The trail had bushes coming up that I would have to brush through and something in the back of my mind said, that's a prime area for ticks. But, I discounted it because I've hiked there for 33 years." Greer got diagnosed with Lyme disease a month after the tick bite. Usually, tick bites have a ring around the bite but her's did not. For that reason, she thought it was a spider bite and waited to see a doctor. She tells 10News she struggled with neck pains and unbearable headaches. Greer finally got a Western Blot test which confirmed her diagnosis. The County of San Diego tells 10News, "Lyme disease is rare San Diego County and we have not had a positive tick found in many years." Because Greer thought she had a spider bite, she didn't know to look for a tick to bring to the county for testing. Greer has been seeing a doctor regularly and is now on antibiotics, "I'm taking antibiotics and I'll be taking antibiotics for a minimum of three months, maybe much longer." 1322

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Officials have raised the budget to .9 billion for the 65,000-seat Las Vegas Stadium being built for the NFL's relocated Raiders and UNLV football.The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the stadium authority board on Thursday approved million in construction additions. They include 20 more suites and a field-level club area to be paid for by personal and club seat sales that weren't part of the original budget.The stadium is due to open in 2020 just off the Las Vegas Strip. Law enforcement authorities are searching for a man who's suspected of threatening to shoot President Donald Trump.Shawn Richard Christy, of McAdoo, Pennsylvania, was last seen in Cumberland, Maryland, Sunday night driving a stolen vehicle, according to the authorities.The US Marshals Service is offering ,000 for information leading to Christy's arrest. Christy has been wanted on a June 19 federal warrant, accused of posting threats on Facebook against the President and Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli.According to officials, Christy posted, "Keep it up Morganelli, I promise I'll put a bullet in your head as soon as I put one in the head of President Donald J. Trump."Christy is a 27-year-old white man who stands at 5 feet 10 inches and weighs about 160 pounds, according to a flyer released by the FBI. He has short dark blond hair, a large tattoo on his right upper arm of a "pointed cross and barbed wire," and speaks with a distinct lisp.Kentucky State Police said that upon reviewing surveillance footage it appears on Aug. 9 Christy stole a green 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a black hood from the residence of Timothy Gilliam. Gilliam is the brother of Dakota Meyer, a Medal of Honor recipient and former husband of Bristol Palin.Christy could be driving another stolen vehicle at this point, according to authorities.Christy is also wanted on Pennsylvania state warrants for "burglary, probation violation, and failure to appear for an aggravated assault case," according to the marshals, and threatened to use "full lethal force on any law enforcement officer that tries to detain me."The FBI, US Secret Service and US Marshals Service are seeking the public's assistance in locating Christy, who is armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
