"Our answer to these questions will affect not only the future of this presidency, but the future of the presidency itself, and what kind of conduct or misconduct the American people may come to expect from their Commander-in-Chief."GOP pushes back on Taylor's direct knowledgeRepublican lawmakers took aim at Taylor and Kent's lack of firsthand knowledge about the freezing of Ukraine aid. Several lawmakers pointed to the fact that neither diplomat had any conversation with the President himself or Mulvaney, and were basing their testimony on what others had told them."We got six people having four conversations in one sentence, and you just told me this is where you got your clear understanding? ... I mean, I've seen church prayer chains that are easier to understand than this," said Rep. Jim Jordan, an Ohio Republican who was added to the committee temporarily for the impeachment hearings. "With all due respect ambassador, your clear understanding was obviously wrong. Because it didn't happen."Jordan and Rep. Swastikas have appeared in at least a handful of U.S. cities since the massacre in Pittsburgh. On Wednesday morning, a New York City resident posted pictures of swastikas that had been scrawled on homes in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood."Praying they're gone before all our children flood the street to celebrate Halloween tonight," Sandy Maltzman tweeted. The Nazi symbols also appeared on Navy property this week in Bucks County near Philadelphia. Warminster Township Manager Gregg Schuster posted online that local officials have been in contact with the Navy to get the symbols removed."The use of the swastika is a cowardly act," he said. "In light of what our neighbors in Pittsburgh recently went through, I hope we can refrain from using these symbols of hate. There is no place in Warminster for this disgusting act and I know our community will never accept this behavior."A swastika also was found scrawled on a piece of paper in an elevator Monday at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, according to CNN affiliate WHAM.Anti-Semitic incidents have been increasing in the U.S. in the last few years, according to the Anti-Defamation LeagueThe Rabbinical Assembly, an international association of conservative rabbis, said last weekend's shooting is a reminder that anti-Semitism "is on the rise in America at a rate unprecedented in decades." 1370

shooting. The Odessa Police Department on Sunday identified the man who also wounded 22 people in the shootings Saturday in West Texas as Seth Ator, 36. He was killed by police. Here is what we know about the victims:The people killed ranged in age between 15 and 57, authorities said.Mary Granados, 29Granados was on the phone with her twin sister, Rosie, when Granados said she heard a gunshot, the surviving twin said. Then, Granados started screaming."It was very painful. I just wanted to help her, and I couldn't. I thought she had got bitten by a dog or something," Rosie Granados said sobbing in a phone interview with CNN. "I tried calling her name and she wouldn't answer."The gunman hijacked Granados' mail vehicle, said Silvia Torres, a spokeswoman with the USPS Inspection Service.Rosie knew her sister's route and went looking for her, she said. Within 15 minutes, she found her sister. The police were already there."She was laying on the floor when I got there. She was already gone," she told CNN in an interview from her home. "I just wanted to run to her and hug her ... kiss her.""We are all broken. We are all suffering," Rosie Granados said. "She was very friendly and was always smiling."She said Granados' cats have been yowling for her.The Granados sisters moved from Juarez, Mexico, to Odessa when they were 14. Granados worked for the US Postal Service for about a year, her sister said. The USPS Inspection Service confirmed Granados' death.Granados loved to travel with her boyfriend and spend time with her family. She didn't feel well on Saturday but still went to work, her sister said.Mckayla Salcido's doorbell camera captured Granados delivering the mail to her home in Odessa more than three hours before the shooting. It is one of the last known images captured of Granados before she was killed.Granados was nearing the end of shift when she was killed, her sister said."It's hard for me," said Rosie Granados, who is three minutes older, "because she's my twin."She said the two "were like one""And now a part of me is missing," she said. "And I wish I could have it back, but I just can't."Kameron BrownBrown's employer, Standard Safety & Supply, confirmed that Brown was killed in the weekend shootings. The company linked to a GoFundMe page for Brown, which was set up by one of his colleagues, according to Standard Safety & Supply spokesperson Sean Murphy. The GoFundMe page says Brown was a resident of Brownwood, Texas, and served in the Army in Afghanistan. He worked for the company for over a year."We are deeply saddened at the loss of a member of our team. Kameron Brown died tragically as a victim of the senseless and horrifying shootings that occurred in and around Odessa on Saturday. We have been in contact with Kameron's family to offer our deepest sympathies and support. We ask that the family's privacy be respected during this most difficult time," Standard Safety & Supply said in an official statement. 2973

Surveillance footage captured the February 10 incident in a luxury hotel, according to police reports. The video shows Hunt shoving the woman several times in a hotel hallway while people try to hold him back. At one point, the woman appears to stumble, and as she attempts to get up, Hunt kicks her back down.Dispatchers received the first call about the incident at 3:42 a.m."I was assaulted and I need help," said the woman."I think his first name is Kareem," she said when asked who assaulted her.The woman told the dispatcher that "things went wrong" as she and her friends met with Hunt's friends to go out.A second call came in at 3:55 a.m. from a man named Derek who did not want to give his last name. He said there were "two women that have bruises and cuts all over them."A third call came in at 4:13 a.m. from another man who identified himself as the evening security officer at the hotel. He told the dispatcher that two women got into an altercation after coming back from a nightclub."I've been trying to figure out what the heck's been going on," he said.According to the police report, friends and family of the women arrived to pick them up, and they were allowed to leave. No arrests were made. A spokeswoman for the Cleveland Police Department told CNN on Tuesday that since the incident was considered a misdemeanor, the onus would have been on the accuser to go to prosecutors if she wanted to pursue charges.Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia told CNN that nobody within the department had reviewed the video until TMZ posted the footage. After the video went public Friday, the Chiefs released a statement saying they were made aware of the incident earlier this year. The NFL and law enforcement began investigating while members of the Chief's management team spoke directly to Hunt, the team said."Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately."The NFL began an investigation "immediately following the incident in February," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said after the video went public Friday. The investigation will include a review of the new information that was made public today," McCarthy said on Twitter.Meanwhile, Hunt was placed on the "Commissioner Exempt list," meaning he can't practice, play or attend games. In an interview with ESPN, Hunt admitted to lying to the Chiefs about the incident. But said he had not been questioned about it by the league."The Chiefs are right; I didn't tell them everything," he said on ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown" in an interview that he requested. "I don't blame them for anything. My actions caused this."I know it's going to be hard. I made a bad choice and I'm not going to let this bring me down." 2742
