FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Antonio Brown says he is finished with the NFL.In a Twitter rant on the morning his most recent team was getting ready to play without him, the former New England Patriots receiver says, "Will not be playing in the NFL anymore." He went on to take shots at other people in football who have been accused of sexual misconduct, including Patriots owner Robert Kraft and longtime Steelers teammate Ben Roethlisberger.Read the full tweet below: "Will not be playing in the @NFL anymore these owners can cancel deals do whatever they want at anytime we will see if the @NFLPA hold them accountable sad they can just void guarantees anytime going on 40m 2 months will see if they pay up!"Brown was traded out of Pittsburgh and released in Oakland after his off-field antics became too much for those teams. The Patriots signed him anyway, and just days later a woman filed a civil lawsuit accusing him of rape. He played in one game, then was released after the team learned he tried to intimidate a second woman who accused him of sexual misconduct. 1077
Former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn has expressed concern about the potential legal exposure of his son, Michael Flynn Jr., who, like his father, is under scrutiny by special counsel Robert Mueller, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell CNN.Flynn's concern could factor into decisions about how to respond to Mueller's ongoing investigation. The special counsel is looking into Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign as well as the business dealings of key campaign advisers to President Donald Trump.Flynn's wife, Lori, shares his concerns about their son's possible legal exposure, according to a person who knows the family.Interviews conducted by special counsel investigators have included questions about the business dealings of Flynn and his son such as their firm's reporting of income from work overseas, two witnesses interviewed by the team told CNN. The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) requires people acting as agents of foreign entities to publicly disclose their relationship with foreign countries or businesses and financial compensation for such work. 1116
Following the same path as the ill-fated Titanic voyage of 1912, a cruise ship named Titanic II will hit the open sea in 2022.According to a report from USA Today, Blue Star Line's ship features the same cabin layout as the original ship and will carry the same amount of passengers (2400) and crew (900).The ship will sail from Dubai to Southampton, England and then to New York, following the same route the original ship took before it sank on April 12, 1912.Despite being a replica of the original, the Titanic II features modern navigation technology. The modern ship will also be slightly wider than the original to give it more stability. Tickets are not yet available for purchase but will be available in three classes, just like the original Titanic. Updates on the ship's progress are posted on bluestarline.com. 851
Former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden were reunited Monday, when they went out for lunch at a Washington, DC, bakery.Obama and Biden spent about 45 minutes at Dog Tag Bakery in Georgetown. The bakery runs a fellowship program, now in its eighth class, that acts as a "living business school" for veterans, military spouses and military caregivers, Dog Tag CEO Meghan Ogilvie told COVER/LINE. Professors from Georgetown University teach fellows, who can earn a certificate of business administration from Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies.Ogilvie said she found out about six minutes before Obama and Biden arrived that they were coming. She gathered the current 13 fellows and said they would have a team meeting and surprised them when the 44th President of the United States and his Veep walked in.Obama and Biden met the fellows, took selfies with them and talked to them about their future business plans for about 20 to 30 minutes. They also grabbed a bite to eat.If it wasn't for the fact they were once leaders of the free world, "it would seem like two friends coming together to have lunch," Ogilvie said. They ordered ham and gruyère sandwiches. Obama got a side salad, and Biden got a slice of mint basil blueberry cake.Obama told Ogilvie he was aware of "the good work you've been doing" at the bakery, she said. Before long, photos of Obama and Biden at the bakery began circulating online, drawing a crowd. But, "they didn't tell us to stop having people come in," she said.Obama's been known to meet with possible 2020 contenders, including his former Vice President. A Democratic source told CNN in June that Obama had met with Democrats including Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and former Attorney General Eric Holder to give advice. But unlike Monday's lunch, those meetings were held in private, at his West End office.Ogilvie described Obama and Biden as "so human" and "so kind.""They shook everyone's hand," she said, and as they left, they talked with the fellows about the business ideas they had shared. "They learned about them." 2215
