WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — A man has been arrested and charged after police say he threw his wife into the Provo River in Utah on Sunday.According to an arrest report, 61-year-old Douglas Harold Green and his wife were at the Provo River Resort, located just downriver from Deer Creek State Park in Wasatch County, when they began arguing over dinner arrangements.Police say Green became angry and threatened to drown her in the river. He then dragged her to the bank of the Provo River and forced her in, the probable cause statement says.Witnesses said they tried to help her, but Green yelled at them to stay away.Police said the woman had a bruise on each arm, which she said were from Green dragging her. It was not made clear if she sustained further injuries, how long she was in the river or how she got out.Green was arrested and held without bail after a judge in the Heber District Court ruled that releasing him "would constitute a substantial danger to an alleged victim of domestic violence."He has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, a third-degree felony, and assault, a class-B misdemeanor. This story was originally published by Spencer Burt at KSTU. 1176

VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - A 17-year-old boy was arrested in Vista Thursday on suspicion of making terrorist threats against a north San Diego County campus, Oceanside Police said Friday. The Mission Vista High School student allegedly made the threat on Snapchat, posting “Don’t go to school tomorrow because the cleansing will commence,” according to investigators. Other students saw the post and reported it to school officials, who contacted police. The Vista Unified School District sent an automated message to parents to notify them about the threat. "In this situation the systems we have in place worked. A student saw something and said something. Please take this opportunity to speak with your child about school safety, and encourage them to be vigilant and to report any suspicious behavior or information they may have that jeopardizes their safety and that of others," said Lisa Contreras, VUSD Director of Communications.Contreras told 10News that the alleged threat did not target a specific campus or individual. Oceanside Police said the student did not have access to weapons. No one was hurt. 1119

WASHINGTON — Attorney General William Barr has told the Associated Press that the Justice Department has not uncovered widespread voter fraud that could have changed the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.Barr told the Associated Press that federal agents have followed up on numerous complaints and tips they've received, but have found no evidence of widespread voter fraud.“To date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election,” Barr told the AP.Barr's comments come as President Donald Trump continues to seek legal action to overturn election results in states won by president-elect Joe Biden. The Trump campaign has alleged widespread voter fraud in those lawsuits but has provided little evidence to prove the claim. The comments also come a month after Barr directed the Department of Justice to pursue any “substantial allegations” of voting irregularities in the days after the election.Barr, who has proven to be one of Trump's most staunch defenders in his current stint as Attorney General, questioned the security of mail-in ballots of the summer. Several of the closest contested states from last month's election — including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada and Wisconsin — have already certified the results of their election. 1306
