SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A teenager was injured after jumping from an Uber driver's vehicle on Interstate 8 in Mission Valley late Tuesday.The 13-year-old boy, who's from Yucalan, Mexico, was traveling on westbound Interstate 8 in an Uber ordered by his father at about 9:20 p.m., according to San Diego CHP officials. Due to a language barrier with the Uber driver, the teenager decided to jump from the vehicle on the transition ramp to northbound State route 163, CHP officials said.The teen was taken to Rady Children's Hospital with minor injuries, according to San Diego Police.Based on the statements taken by officers, CHP said they are not pursuing the incident as a criminal matter at this time. 707

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A sign advertising a block party at the home of a registered sex offender is causing concern in Rancho Bernardo.“We would like to invite you and your kids to a neighborhood get together” read the sign, which was posted outside a home on Bernardo Oaks Drive in the Seven Oaks retirement neighborhood this week.“I always keep an eye on that house because I know there’s a registered sex offender that lives there,” said Susan Sutherland.Sutherland told 10News she looked up her community on the Megan’s Law website four years ago and found a listing for a neighbor who had had been convicted of lewd acts on a child under 14, according to Sutherland“I come from a background of abuse. I can’t live with myself if I allow a child to get hurt. I can’t live with that,” Sutherland said.The sign was posted by the contractor who recently renovated the home, which is owned by the man's mother. 10News reached out to Elor Energy, which said it had no prior knowledge of the man's past. The latest set of rules handed down by Governor Newsom is not sitting well with salon owner Shanelle Cedeno.“Now it just feels like a target," Cedeno says.As hospitals become overwhelmed with surging cases, ICU capacity is the state’s newest metric for tightening restrictions.RELATED: Gov. Newsom: New California stay-at-home order triggered by ICU capacityOnce available capacity falls below 15%, only schools that have received waivers can stay open along with critical infrastructure.Retail can stay open at 20% capacity and restaurants will be restricted to take out and delivery. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman suffered serious injuries from a hit-and-run crash Saturday while walking in the East Village, San Diego Police said.The 47-year-old woman was dragging her wheelchair across F St. at Park Blvd. at 3:55 a.m. when she was struck by a gray or silver Honda heading west.The car was last seen going north on 11th Ave., police said.The victim suffered two broken legs and a pelvic fracture.San Diego Police Traffic Division officers are investigating the case. 494
