Hunter used campaign funds for personal expenses “to satisfy his desire for intimacy,” U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California David Leshner alleged in an evidence motion filed Monday. The court document details how and when Hunter spent thousands of dollars on relationships with five women who worked as congressional staffers or lobbyists, prosecutors said. “Carrying out all these affairs did not come cheap,” the U.S. Attorney’s office said. A woman, identified as Individual 14 [I-14] in the motion, started a relationship with Hunter in April 2009, four months after he became the Representative for the 50th District of California, according to the motion. The motion also alleges an instance when Hunter stayed at a Capitol Hill hotel with the female lobbyist on June 21, 2011, only to have his wife Margaret join him the following two nights. “In describing this expenditure to his campaign treasurer later, Hunter never explained the reason he kept the first night at a hotel,” the court document says. In August 2012, about five months after his alleged relationship with I-14 ended, documents indicate Hunter began a relationship with a congressional staffer, identified in court filings as I-15. Hunter began staying at the woman’s home “nearly every night,” using campaign funds for dinners and Uber rides to further the relationship, prosecutors said. RELATED: Rep. Prosecutors say Hunter spent campaign funds on their dates, including an outing when one of Hunter’s teenage relatives visited Washington, D.C., for a night. Prosecutors say two more women, Individuals 17 and 18, engaged in “intimate personal activities” unrelated to Hunter’s official duties, although he used campaign funds on Uber rides to their homes. The U.S. Attorney’s office filed the evidence motion “to establish the personal nature of the expenditures” and “demonstrate Hunter’s knowledge and intent to break the law, and to establish his motive to embezzle from his campaign.” “Simply put, carrying out a sequence of romantic liaisons is so far removed from any legitimate campaign or congressional activity as to rebut any argument that Hunter believed these were proper uses of campaign funds,” according to the motion. California Resort has developed a comprehensive and robust reopening plan, taking every precaution to meet and exceed guidelines given to other businesses and industries since voluntarily closing seven months ago. All seven other LEGOLAND Parks around the world have reopened safely with millions of guests and twenty thousand employees going through the gates without any COVID-19 incidents. The guidance from the Governor is grossly inconsistent with the guidelines given to other industries and lacks any scientific basis that can be supported by the CDPH.”In Orange and Los Angeles counties, Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood will have to wait longer to reopen because of their tier status. Orange County, as of Oct. 20, is in the state's red tier; Los Angeles County remains in the restrictive purple tier.Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said of the guidance:“We have proven that we can responsibly reopen, with science-based health and safety protocols strictly enforced at our theme park properties around the world. A 19-year-old man walked out of an Ohio court after being sentenced Wednesday and led police on a chase before crashing.Authorities said Cyrus Matthews, 19, appeared at the courthouse in Wadsworth to be sentenced to 90 days in jail for a criminal damaging charge and a reckless operations chargeMatthews allegedly told authorities he was not going to jail.He fled the courthouse after Judge Stephen Mcllvaine read his sentencing. Matthews got in the driver's seat of a vehicle outside Wadsworth City Hall. There was a person in the passenger's seat who authorities say he knew. After fleeing the courthouse, he led police on a chase, striking several cars.The chase ended in a bad crash and reported entrapment. Five people from several vehicles were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that appeared to be not life-threatening, according to police. 912

(KGTV/CNS) - Evacuation orders remained in effect Tuesday in light of a fast-moving wildfire that erupted in the Cleveland National Forest the day before.The blaze dubbed the Holy Fire, is five percent contained and has burned at least 3,399 acres as of Tuesday evening, according to the U.S. Forest Service. The acreage was downgraded due to more accurate mapping, officials with the Cleveland National Forest said. A total of 10 helicopters and five air tankers are currently on scene assisting firefighters.  539
