EARLESVILLE, Md. — Deputy State Fire Marshals are investigating an incident that left a Maryland student burned on a school bus on Tuesday afternoon.Fire crews and investigators were dispatched to Hack's Point General Store located in Earlesville, Maryland when they found the student with burns on his hands.An investigation showed that while the school bus was on route to drop off students from Bohemia Manor High School, the students on the bus notified the driver that there was a cellphone on the floor smoking.They say the 18-year-old student picked up the cellphone from the ground and he burned his hands while attempting to throw it off the bus.The student was later transported to Union Hospital of Cecil County with non-life threatening injuries.Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the phone explosion. 872

EL CAJON (CNS) - A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was shot multiple times, possibly at a two-vehicle traffic crash in El Cajon, a police lieutenant said With details still sketchy, a little after 9:45 p.m. Saturday police received several calls of loud noises in the area of the 1500 block of East Washington Avenue, where officers discovered a man who appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds, said El Cajon police Lt. Walt Miller.Paramedics rushed him to an area hospital and officers also discovered a two-vehicle traffic crash in the same area.Multiple people fled from the crash, Miller said. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- Dozens of dogs and cats landed in El Cajon today, after a flight from Louisiana to Gillespie Field. In July, rescue partners at Acadiana Animal Aid in Lafayette, LA helped rescue animals following floods in the area. This month, they've teamed up with the Wings of Rescue to help overcrowded shelters.  The 75 to 90 animals, mostly puppies will go to The Rescued Dog, Labradors and Friends Rescue, San Diego Humane Society, and the Rancho Coastal Humane Society. For more information on when the puppies will be up for adoption, head the Wings of Rescue Facebook page.? 634
