There is no question the coronavirus pandemic is changing how Americans shop, with an increase in delivery, drive thru and curbside pick-up.Later this year, fans of Wawa will be able to get their favorite convenience store items in a drive thru. The east coast-based company announced they are building a freestanding drive-thru at an intersection in Lower Bucks County Pennsylvania. They are also adding drive-thru features to a Wawa under construction in Westhampton, New Jersey.In a press release, Wawa says the standalone store, not attached to a gas station, will feature “state-of-the-art technology to quickly order Wawa’s most popular food and beverages, including value meals, combo meals along with coffee and specialty beverages.” If the drive-thru line gets too long, customers will be able to pull into curbside parking and wait for their order.Construction will start this month, with an opening planned for December.“We are hoping to learn from the layout, workflow and traffic flow at this location, as we continue to explore alternatives for longer term application to our stores post-COVID-19,” said Terri Micklin, Director of Construction, Wawa. 1172

Thousands called for a boycott of Goya — the producer of dozens of Latin American staple foods — after the company's CEO praised President Donald Trump at a Thursday event at the White House.At an event prior to his signing of a Hispanic Prosperity Initiative executive order, Trump hosted Latin American leaders at the White House. Among those was Robert Unanue, the CEO of Goya foods, who called the president a "builder," and added that "we are all truly blessed to have a leader like President Trump."Unanue's comments sparked outrage among many, given Trump's past racially-charged against Latin Americans and immigrants. Times Square was a hive of activity Tuesday afternoon, as more than 40,000 bees swarmed a hot dog stand at the corner of Broadway and West 43rd Street.Known as an absconded hive, the bees were looking for a new home to escape the sweltering heat, said Officer Darren Mays, one of the New York Police Department's two official beekeepers."The hive got overcrowded because it was hot and humid and they just needed a new place to go so they can keep cool," Mays said. He also runs the official NYPD Bees Twitter account, which was buzzing with likes and retweets as many New Yorkers learned that their police force had beekeepers on staff.Mays said the bees likely went looking for a new home after leaving one of the rooftop hives of a nearby building.Second-beekeeper-in-command, Officer Michael Lauriano, responded to the scene in full protective gear, including a netted bee helmet. It took Lauriano 45 minutes to carefully vacuum the bees. The street was cordoned off and no injuries were reported, according to the NYPD.Mays confirmed the bees have been safely stored in a hive box and are being transported by police van to an apiary on Long Island."Unfortunately, they won't be able to make any honey this season," said Mays, explaining that they will have to be well fed to make it through the winter.Mays, who has served since 2014 as the NYPD's beekeeper in addition to his regular duties, said this has been one of the slowest bee seasons in recent years. Thousands are expected to honor Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the Supreme Court building in Washington on Wednesday as her casket arrives for three days of public mourning in the nation's capital.Ginsburg's casket will arrive at the Supreme Court building at 9:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday morning. Ginsburg's family, close friends and colleagues will then attend a private ceremony in the Great Hall of the Supreme Court.Following the ceremony, Ginsburg will lie in repose at the top of the building's grand outdoor staircase and under its iconic portico.
