CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Sweetwater Unified School District officials said Thursday they are investigating an incident in which someone disrupted an online classroom by playing inappropriate audio.According to a district spokesperson, the incident happened Wednesday during a session taught by an Olympian High School teacher. The incident was reported by both a student and the teacher.Audio described as "sexual" in nature was played in the virtual classroom.District spokesperson Manny Rubio told 10News that the source of the audio is unlikely to be a hacker, and that a student or students cooperated in the disruption."Each course has an access code and we believe there are other students using those codes to enter and create disruptions," said Rubio. "Our IT staff is looking to identify the specific sources."It's unknown if the school or district requires students to use cameras to attend the online classroom.The district's 25 campuses matriculated over 40,000 students for online classes this school year, which started Monday. Students have been assigned equipment and software to access their virtual classes, including Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Rubio said that since Monday, there have a few similar incidences of disruption but that a great majority of students are having positive experiences. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A South Bay family who discovered the body of their loved one buried in a backyard in Tijuana tells 10News there's now an arrest warrant for that woman's stepson. Fernanda Gonzalez went missing in Tijuana on February 2nd. Her sister, Erika Gonzalez, tells 10News Tijuana authorities issued the warrant for 20-year-old Aaron Seth Juarez wanted in connection with his stepmom's murder. The family's attorney, Jesus Rodolfo Cruz, tells 10News Fernanda's Jeep Grand Cherokee is still missing. The Jeep has California plates that read 6VXP431. Gonzalez first reported her sister missing in early February and posted on social media asking for help finding her. Gonzalez tells 10News each post had thousands of shares before she got a phone call that changed the course of the search, "somebody call me and said to keep looking for my sister because she was already dead and in the back of her yard".RELATED: Woman discovers her sister's body buried in Tijuana backyardAfter getting two calls saying the same thing, Gonzalez and her father went to Fernanda's home in Tijuana and searched the backyard, eventually finding Fernanda's body buried. CHULA VISTA (CNS) - A man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a firearm after he allegedly pointed a rifle at a family that was setting off fireworks, authorities said today.Samuel Austin Laurabee, 28, was arrested Saturday night in the 500 block of Woodlawn Avenue, according to Lt. Scott Adkins of the Chula Vista Police Department.Laurabee allegedly pointed a bolt-action rifle at members of a nearby family who were setting off Fourth of July fireworks, Adkins said.Laurabee was booked into the San Diego Central Jail, with bail set at ,000, on one felony charge of assault with a firearm, according to jail records. (KGTV) -- Chula Vista residents will head to the polls in June to decide whether or not to pass a new sales tax.Measure A would increase sales tax in the city by half a cent, tying it for the highest sales tax in San Diego County. CINCINNATI -- A Blue Ash, Ohio nurse, worried she would be fired for being drunk at work, attempted to steal narcotic medications and flee from Cooper's Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on April 5, according to Hamilton County court documents.The medications stolen by 42-year-old Orlantha Shields included "combinations of morphine, fentanyl, codeine, oxycodone" and others, police said. "As she immediately left the facility, before the end of her shift and without proper medical supervision for the patients, she asked if anyone was going to tell on her and then exited the building," the affidavit for her arrest reads.A pharmacist taking stock of the assisted living facility's emergency supplies noticed the missing medication and Shields' signature in the logbook directly before the theft.Shields was indicted April 25 and charged with theft of dangerous drugs, a fourth-degree felony. 919
