DENVER, Colorado — A gunman did not go to Arapahoe High School "this past Friday" with the intention of killing people.According to a post that's been circulating on Facbook for awhile, the shooter was "the only one dead" after an "armed school resource officer confronted him." That post has been recirculating following a deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida on Feb. 14, 2018, which has spurred a bigger national conversation about arming teachers and about gun control.There was not a school shooting incident in Arapahoe recently, nor on Dec. 11, 2015. There was a shooting at the school Dec. 13, 2013 in which a shooter, an 18-year-old senior and debate club member, did shoot another student, who died several days later. The gunman also attempted to start a fire in the school and eventually shot himself in the head.According to fact-checker website Snopes.com, a school custodian saw the shooter and alerted security personnel. Those security professionals were joined by a deputy, but none shot the gunman.They did help minimize casualties by directing civilians at the scene and racing to confront the shooter.CNN reports the entire incident was over in 80 seconds. (KGTV) – The Bing Crosby Season at the Del Mar Racetrack kicks off Saturday with new rules to keep everyone involved healthy and safe.Del Mar Thoroughbred Club Media Director Mac McBride told ABC 10News, "We normally have one large jockey's room. What we've done now is made three jockey’s rooms to thin out the ranks so they're not sitting on top of each other like they do normally.”Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this racing season will be noticeably different than years past. This season, jockeys will also wear masks on and off the horses, test daily for the coronavirus, and if anyone receives a positive result, they'll be required to quarantine for at least 10 days."When we put that into place in the summer after our first hiccup, it worked out well. We had no further incidents with our riders,” McBride said.McBride added that even though the club took a big hit with empty stands this summer, folks were still tuning in and bets were still flying high."We thought we might do well, but we had no idea how we were going do that well, and we did. DEL MAR, Calif. (KGTV) -- Scott Eastwood was caught on video taking down signs as Del Mar residents protested a proposed luxury resort Sunday. A protestor, Spencer Gobar, who confronted Eastwood in the video, told 10News that the actor identified himself to the group as an official from the city.Eastwood reportedly told demonstrators to take down signs and banners at Del Mar Plaza. However, Gobar said she recognized Eastwood as soon as she saw his face, having seen him numerous times around the area. She asked him by name to stop trying to remove the sign. Eastwood then walked away as the protestors heckled him about his actions and about his famous father, Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood."It all happened so fast," Gobar told 10News. "The last thing I was expecting was for this D-list celebrity to show up and try to dismantle the sign."Eastwood owns at least one business in the North County, a clothing company based in Encinitas. However, it is not clear why he wanted the protest signs against Del Mar Measure G removed.
