General Motors recently announced that it would be shutting down five car factories in the United States and Canada and cutting 14,000 jobs. GM said at the time that factory workers would be offered jobs at other facilities where production is being increased and on Friday it offered an update on how things are going.Of the jobs GM plans to cut, 2,800 are hourly employees in the United States. These are generally assembly line workers who punch in and out for work each day as opposed to employees who are paid a salary.The automaker announced Friday that 1,100 of those hourly workers have volunteered to transfer to jobs at other factories, such as GM's Flint, Michigan, truck plant where heavy duty pickups are built and the Toledo transmission plant in Toledo, Ohio. Another 1,200 workers in that group are eligible for retirement, the company said.The US plants GM is shutting down are in Michigan, Ohio, and Maryland. These plants mostly made sedans, which have fallen out of favor as customers have shifted toward crossover SUVs and trucks.GM also said last month that Canadian workers would be offered jobs at other plants in that country.In total, the company announced it would cut 6,000 hourly and 8,000 salaried positions. In October, the company offered voluntary buyouts to 18,000 workers.GM CEO Mary Barra has said she wants to save money and reposition the company for future investments in autonomous driving technology and electric cars. The suit filed in federal court is demanding million.She claims the investigation into a dog attack that took place in March 2017 was not handled properly. The suit claims the woman was attacked by a 3-year-old Presa Canario and suffered injuries to her head, back and wrist that required more than 140 medical treatments, including 11 staples in her scalp, puncture wounds on her back and an injured wrist, which needed three surgeries to fix.A police report from the incident claims that her hand was "completely covered in blood and her hair appeared to be blood soaked."The woman also claimed the attack resulted in emotional trauma.The dog qas temporarily quarantined for 10 days. The woman also claims that police were not aware of procedure for dog attacks.The woman no charges were filed in the incident, and when she called repeatedly for an update in the investigation, a sergeant told her that "f you don't like the way we handle this get yourself an attorney and sue us."Both the Glendale police chief and the city's attorney declined to comment, citing pending litigation.Glendale City Attorney John Fuchs issued the following statement."She went into the dog's yard and approached the dog. The good Samaritan driver said he saw the thief take off from the parking lot in a suburb of Cincinnati and told the dad to get in his car.Then they chased him together."Oh my god, he stole my truck! My kids are in the truck!" a man who identified himself as Courtney Wells yelled in a 911 call. "I'm in the car with somebody. We're chasing him. He stole my kids! Please, I got three kids in that car."The dispatcher asked Wells to calm down and tell him where they were driving. After a few moments, Wells came to a shocking realization."Did he turn? Oh my god, I think we lost him," Wells cried.The driver told the 911 dispatcher that he just happened to be there when the thief took off."I saw what happened so I said, 'Come on!"The thief sped off and crossed the center line several times trying to elude them, police said."We were so close. We were right there ... Oh, god, he was flying," the driver said on the 911 call.The suspect got away from them, but all ended well when the children - two 4-year-olds and a 1-year-old - were found safe and the suspect was arrested, police said.Someone claiming to be the father later posted a Facebook message that thanked the driver who helped him. GEORGIA — A tour bus carrying 18 passengers headed to watch golf at the Masters Tournament overturned Thursday morning, and the driver has been charged.The crash near Augusta happened just before 9 a.m. Eastern. The Georgia State Patrol said the driver has been charged with driving under the influence.The bus went off the right side of the road, GSP said in a release. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle overturned in a median on Interstate 20."Several of the passengers were transported to Doctors Hospital in Augusta with non-life threatening injuries," the report said.The driver of the bus was Steven F. Hoppenbrouwer, 61, of Gwinnett County, Georgia. He was charged with DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane.The bus is owned by Jet Executive Limousine, Inc. 789

You'll also need a child-safe strap, like the ones made of metal and seatbelt material that can be found on Amazon.McNulty recommends using two straps for dressers at least 2 feet tall.First, using the stud finder, find the studs at either end of the wall behind the dresser. Mark those spots with the pencil.Next,attach one side of the strap to the dresser.
